The first part is the basis of classification. The nature of classification is nine types. The reason for classification is because there are nine objects. What are these? The concise Dharma refers to: it is spoken for the purpose of subduing sentient beings who like concise statements. The extensive Dharma refers to: it is spoken for the sake of subduing dull-witted sentient beings who like extensive statements. If the Tathagata reveals these Dharmas in a concise and extensive manner, then it should be known that he will attain the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, therefore, these six perfections must be understood, both concisely and extensively. This is what the Buddha said. What the Buddha did not bless and completely embrace refers to: not diligently practicing the meaning of the two, concise and extensive, or generosity, etc., as stated. In countless worlds, how many Buddhas, Bhagavat, abide, nurture and teach the Dharma, they are also mindful of practicing the Mother of Great Vehicle (Prajnaparamita). In this treatise, the word "བསྟངས་" (bstangs) means "protector." In the commentary on the Ornament for Clear Realization, it says: "Not diligently practicing as stated, therefore not completely embraced by the Buddha's protector." The White Commentary on Clear Realization says: "The Buddha's blessing refers to the object to be made a protector." In the Pramanavarttika, 'bro seng dkar shAkya 'od translated it as: "Without the Buddha's protector." Therefore, it means that the Buddha did not act as a protector. So, Tibetans confusing "བསྟངས་པ་" (bstangs pa) and "བཏང་བ་" (btang ba) is not understanding the meaning of the words. The three times without merit, the three times refer to the path of application, the path of seeing, and the path of cultivation, which are the three times of past, present, and future. Without merit refers to: when the path of seeing is the basis, there is no merit of the path of application. Because at that time, the path of application has passed, has arisen and ceased, so it does not exist. The Great Vehicle abiding in the object of such teaching should be known as irreversible. So it is said. At that time, observing, there is no merit of the path of seeing, because in reality, it does not possess any cause of birth. Practicing Prajnaparamita. So it is said. At that time, there is no merit of the path of cultivation, because at that time the path of cultivation is the future, and the future has not yet been born, so it does not exist. Cultivating the object, it is beneficial to it.

These qualities should be recognized. Thus it is said. Realizing the white dharma, it should be abandoned in the three times. In terms of the three times, it refers to the three qualities of the path of accumulation, the path of seeing, and the path of meditation, which are said to be separated from the objects to be abandoned in sequence, but this is the former view of the Acharya (teacher). If you ask how these three and the third can become the object of conceptual thought? Although direct instruction is not possible, the Hundred Thousand Prajñāpāramitā says that these are the four that are contrary to those four. According to the Sunlight Commentary, it is not established by the time known as the three times, but generally by the time of these three paths. Goodness refers to Nirvana, and the path to Nirvana is the good path. There are three of these. Among them, the path connected to Nirvana, because the object is a reversed thing, is peaceful through elimination, and because etc. are caused by conditions, it is impermanent, its nature is empty, it cannot be accumulated and observed, so it is to realize that it has no real meaning, that is, the form is peaceful, and the form is coarse, and the form can be accumulated, and the form has no real meaning, it should be practiced in the Prajñāpāramitā. Thus it is said. The path of seeing is to realize emptiness like the sky, that is, because of the direct realization of the object, one should directly realize the emptiness of the sky. Thus it is said. The path of meditation is to familiarize oneself with seeing no self-nature, that is, because of meditating on the emptiness of the sky, one should meditate in the Prajñāpāramitā. Thus it is said. Regarding the way of conceptualizing those nine objects, as the Sunlight Commentary on the Ornament of Clear Realization says, just like illusion, I should enter, like this, relying on the aspect of entering, is the conceptual thought of clinging to the aspect of what is taken. If one clings to the object of entering like illusion, it is a fault for the Mahayana, so it can become a conceptual thought. And the Sunlight Commentary and the Eight Thousand Prajñāpāramitā Sutra say that those who do not understand the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra in three volumes, and those who have not been taught by the Buddha, and those who do not have the qualities of the three paths, and those who do not understand the conceptual thoughts of these three, everything said in the scriptures should be regarded as the antidote to these. Second, obtaining the peak of the path of meditation but not completely perfecting it, because it should be abandoned in this stage of the path of preparation, so in the stage of the path of preparation of the path of meditation, it has the object to be abandoned. The second has three, first, thus, after instructing the first object of conceptual thought, the second object of conceptual thought, that is, its opposite, is declared. The second has three, the object is, mind does not arise, etc., adding the word "to" at the end of each, there are nine in total. These are also the path of accumulation and the path of preparation of the Hinayana.
