Explanation of clinging to conceptualization. The second part has two parts: connecting and explaining the meaning. The first part: If combined with the generation stage, the peak of vision arises below the peak of certainty, so it is explained. Sutra connection: As in the treatise, the combination of peaks has been explained, and the first conceptualization has been briefly stated. The second part has two parts: what is to be abandoned and the antidote. The first part has two parts: connecting and explaining the meaning. The first part: For the peak of vision, there are four kinds of incompatible, suggestive antidotes, so they are explained. The second part has three parts: a brief statement, a detailed explanation, and a representation of the antidote. The first part has two parts: a brief statement of what is to be grasped and a brief statement of what is to be held. The first part has three parts, the first of which is that out of the four, two incompatible aspects of what is to be grasped are temporarily explained. The second is: the object of a bodhisattva's entry, the path and fruit of the Mahayana, and the object of its opposite, the path and fruit of the Hinayana, are held as something to be accepted or rejected, which are the two aspects of what is to be grasped. These two each have nine natures, and these are the natures of holding that their own objects are not as they are, so they should be known as conceptualizations. For those who do not regress and those who are obstructed by one birth, one should rejoice in their roots of virtue and dedicate them to the unexcelled perfect enlightenment, just as one does not transform into the concept of two and does not transform into the concept of non-duality, so one should completely dedicate them. As it says in the Prajnaparamita Sutra: "Is it only Prajna that does not conceptualize? Or does the Paramita of giving from meditation also not conceptualize?" Subhuti replied: "O venerable Shariputra, Prajna does not conceptualize," etc., which is shown through the door of the antidote. The third part has four parts: the nature of conceptualization, showing incompatibility, classification, and proving it to be delusion. The first part has two parts: the object is the object of a bodhisattva's entry, not focusing on characteristics; and the nature of focusing on characteristics, the opposite object, is the nature of nature, etc., and falling into samsara and nirvana, etc. The aspect is: bodhisattvas and others, wanting to accept the Dharma of the Buddhas, cling to what should be accepted; and shravakas and others, wanting to abandon the Dharma of self-realization, cling to what should be abandoned.

Attachment to "is" refers to the two kinds of conceptualization that sequentially enter and return from what is grasped. Secondly, these two are contradictory to the peak of seeing, because they are to be abandoned. For example, like the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing. Thirdly, each of these two conceptualizations has nine aspects, due to the distinction of having nine objects. Fourthly, the eighteen (nine times two) should be understood as the nature of grasping things not as they are, because their own objects appear reversed. It is like someone who, having eaten Datura, grasps at golden needles in the sky; they grasp without any connection to the actual object of attachment, just as the attachment does, the object does not remain. The second has three parts. The first is, "Thus, etc." The second has two parts: the actual meaning and refuting arguments. The first has three parts: The nature of conceptualization is the basis for distinguishing grasping conceptualizations. If distinguished, it is considered that there can be distinctions between substantial grasping and imputed grasping, which are conceptualizations that distinguish between what exists substantially in the meaning of sentient beings and what exists as imputed by the minds of sentient beings. By the distinction between ordinary beings and noble ones, because there are two kinds of grasping. The distinction of conceptualization is that each of these two conceptualizations has nine aspects. Establishing it as mistaken is: Why are these called conceptualizations? Because the nature of these conceptualizations is emptiness, which refers to the nature of grasping in the way one is attached to them. Because these conceptualizations want to grasp the object as it is attached to, but it is not grasping. The reason is, or because the things grasped by conceptualization do not exist as they are grasped. These reasons are also suitable for the first two conceptualizations and the nature of not being a real object. These two conceptualizations are: Alas, venerable Subhuti! A great bodhisattva who engages with the mother engages with the essence. Having said this, the venerable Subhuti said to the venerable Shariputra: Alas, venerable Shariputra! A great bodhisattva who engages with the mother engages with the non-essence. Why is that? Venerable Shariputra! The mother is without essence.
