That's right. Where is the Sutra Prajnaparamita? From which gate? From listening to and upholding the words and meanings of the true mother, and from engaging in proper attention. How so? Truly distinguishing the words and meanings, etc. For what purpose? For the cause of Bodhi, solely for the cause. To tame one's own mindstream is to have no obstacles to attaining Bodhi, which is the definite cause. The Prajnaparamita of the path of seeing, practicing oneself, etc., and the merit of teaching others, etc., is a characteristic that far surpasses the merit of the Hinayana Arhats, and is the third cause mentioned earlier. The second part has two: Explaining the great Bodhi that abides in meaning. Refuting the great Bodhi that is fabricated by conceptualization. The first part has three, the first is: For the sake of what result is the path of seeing considered to be the result of possessing the three causes mentioned earlier, then what is that great Bodhi? As an answer to that question, the intermediate verses speak of the great Bodhi. The second is: The two wisdoms that know that the stains of the two obscurations are exhausted and do not arise are called great Bodhi. What are those two wisdoms? Because it is impossible for stains to be previously existent and exhausted, and for what was previously non-existent to arise, therefore one must know those knowledges of exhaustion and non-arising. In order, the two of exhaustion and non-arising are combined with the two of wisdom. Therefore, knowing exhaustion and non-arising is not like speaking of things, not the aspect of the destruction of things, but the aspect of stains being exhausted and not arising from the beginning, thus showing the knowable by representing the knower, as Avalokiteshvara said, "Good son, thinking that the mother will be exhausted is like thinking that the sky will be exhausted. The mother will not be exhausted, will not be unexhausted, will not become exhausted." Similarly, in the speech between the all-knowing wisdom, it is said to know exhaustion, and if those dharmas do not arise, then how can those dharmas be exhausted? Therefore, it is said to know non-arising, and in order to have faith in this, covering the center of the face with the power of the tongue, would one with such a tongue speak falsely? And so on. The first half of the widespread fame proclaimed the Shravakas, and the latter half proclaimed the Bodhi of the Mahayana, therefore, explaining it as first preventing with no obstacles, etc., is not the intention, because it is inconsistent with the order.

Thus it is. The third has two parts: establishing the sign and establishing the property of the subject. The first is: the two Mahayana wisdoms that realize that all defilements are exhausted and do not arise are called great Bodhi. What is the difference? The difference in realization is: the characteristic or nature of realizing the reality of all dharmas as they are, without distortion. The difference in nature is: the Dharmakaya, etc., is the nature of being undeluded as it is, free from all delusive defilements. Some people think that the Indian Sanskrit versions of the Hundred Thousand Verses, etc., do not have vowels, so they are incorrect, which is unreasonable, because the Clear Words extracts "body remainder" etc. from within, and also has vowels such as "understanding white". Therefore, in the Light Commentary on the Ornament of Realization, although there are no vowels such as "the Dharmakaya is the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom as it is", this commentary has it. What is the reason for saying "is"? For the sake of certainty, as stated in the Clear Words. The reason is: because it is the perfect wisdom that realizes that all defilements are extinguished and unborn from the beginning. The order is as follows: combine the meaning of the two subjects and the two reasons taken as signs in order. The second is: how is it established that all defilements have no arising or ceasing? There are two ways to establish this: through scripture and through reasoning. The first is: attachment and other afflictions, and the conceptualization of grasping and being grasped, which obstruct true wisdom, are considered by the realists to have already arisen, but in reality they have no cessation, and those that are considered to have not arisen before are actually unborn, because in the ultimate sense, they are the nature of the Dharmadhatu, free from elaboration. Just as space has no arising or ceasing, it is an example of pervasiveness. The reason is established, as it says in the Discrimination of the Middle and the Extremes: "There is no dharma apart from the Dharmadhatu, in this way there is no dharma." This means that there is no dharma outside the Dharmadhatu. The word "ram" is a word of distinction that introduces the following establishment. The second is: the meaning of the subject and the proposition are combined as before and are reasonable, that is, the reason is that there is no true entity. Just like a lotus in the sky, the example of pervasiveness is that there is no arising or ceasing in the absence of things. The reason for establishing the reason is: examining the nature and refuting the measure.
