Because of non-attention, the roots of virtue increase, the six perfections are completed, omniscience is attained, and it is the cause of Buddhahood. In response to a question about this, it is answered whether attention and non-attention are causes related to the three realms. Acting in that way, one does not abide in all dharmas. The reason for this is that there is nothing to be attached to, so there is no manifest attachment. Attending in the state of non-attachment, the Tathagata, after attaining enlightenment, declared that all dharmas are not to be grasped. If one thinks like this, it is far from the Prajnaparamita and degenerates. Because the Prajnaparamita does not realize, indicate, or establish any dharma, and attachment in the state of non-grasping is also contrary to the Prajnaparamita, because it is not spoken of by manifest attachment. The antidotes such as Prajnaparamita are not separated from these, so the antidote and its object are the same. The army of the wheel-turning king, with the metaphor of going wherever they want, explains that the five follow the Prajnaparamita and go to omniscience, which is the antidote, and both abandonment and antidote are mentioned in the third, sixth, and seventh chapters. From this, it can be inferred that the nine dharmas that are blocked by the nine antidotes are regarded as the objects of substance clinging in the treatises. The third part is divided into two parts: the conceptual thought to be abandoned, and the antidote to be abandoned. The first part is: the conceptual thought of clinging, the first substance clinging has nine aspects, because there are nine objects. What are they? Taking and abandoning is: in the conventional, just as illusion takes and abandons on the object, it appears as clinging to merits and abandoning faults. Attention is: for all dharmas, not attending as they are like illusion, but attending with a true view. Being related to the three realms is: with the attention to characteristics, being closely related to all three realms, that is, focusing on these. Abode is: not abiding in emptiness without attachment, but clinging to form and so on and abiding. Manifest clinging is: in the way of not truly manifesting clinging to things, manifesting clinging to all dharmas, that is, making it an object. Establishing the reality of dharma is: because there is no real dharma in the ultimate, all dharmas such as form are understood only as nominal establishments. Attachment is: because one is not attached to the three wheels of knowing suchness, through the prior non-manifest attachment

For those who are attached to and fixated on the six attachments, the antidote is: by meditating on the equality of samsara and nirvana, the antidote itself acts as an antidote to the attachment of acceptance and rejection towards it. The fault of going as one pleases is: because one does not truly understand the correct Prajñāpāramitā, going as one pleases with the five perfections such as generosity will be obstructed. The way to realize those objects that are attached to the end of each one is: for a person or mindstream that possesses these nine objects, thinking "this is a substantially existent self," by manifestly clinging to the reality of ultimate truth, it is clinging to reality. According to the teacher, relying on the use of these objects, and from the perspective of realization, they can be summarized into two: what is to be abandoned and the antidote. The first is that the nature of use, the nature of what is to be abandoned, is the cause of its aspect. The second is divided into two: antidote and what is to be abandoned. The antidote is further divided into four: the nature of conceptualization, the way of realizing the object, the way of learning on the path, and the power of these, totaling nine. The second is: these conceptualizations are considered to be abandoned in the state of the near-attainment of the peak of the path of seeing. The second is divided into three, the first is: the clinging, etc. The second is: the conceptualizations of clinging, other than clinging to reality, the nominal clinging has nine aspects, because there are nine objects. These can also be summarized into three: in reality, the antidote cannot be obtained, being controlled by inverted conceptualizations, and being contrary to the correct path. The second is divided into two: inversion towards the path and what is to be known. Among these, there are three: negation and affirmation, having and not having, and clinging to the essence as ultimate truth. What is contrary to the path has four: abandoning the Mahāyāna lineage, seeking complete enlightenment, abandoning the cause of omniscience—the Mother Buddha, and the faults of abandoning these, such as intentionally, etc., and the number, etc. According to the teacher, the path of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas and the path of the Bodhisattvas, and from the perspective of the discordant aspects of these two, are respectively two, six, and one. These are also established in the treatises from the force of the direct teaching of the antidote in the sutras, such as the analogy of the charioteer riding a four-horse chariot with a double yoke, walking from a level road, illustrating that the Mother Buddha tames the five perfections, and in accordance with what is to be done intentionally, walking from a level road, as well as the Bodhisattvas and the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas.
