Ro. Here, recollecting the Buddha, the Tathagata in terms of form, etc., and signs and marks, etc., and the five uncontaminated aggregates, and powers, etc., and dependent origination, recollecting the Buddha in a way that does not focus on them, there are five types, as stated in the Sunlight and Eight Thousand Verse texts. The first is the accumulation path, and the remaining four are the four joining paths. Thereafter, it is said that the mindfulness, etc., of the wings of enlightenment are perfected, so between the path of seeing and the wisdom of omniscience, it is said to be perfected in between, thereby showing the path of meditation, according to the Sunlight. Likewise, not focusing on the characteristics of phenomena such as good, non-good, unspecified, mundane, and supramundane is the recollection of the Dharma. Considering the four pairs of persons as being without inherent existence is said to be the recollection of the Sangha, which also represents the Mahayana Sangha. Recalling the ethics, Dharma, and material generosity praised by the wise as before is the recollection of those two. It is said that the stream-enterer who is born in the six desire realms and the non-returner who is born in the two higher realms are recollected as before, thus also representing the once-returner who is born in the desire realm and the Arhat who is born in the higher realm. For these six, three each, such as gradual practice, etc., are also taught as before. After contemplating this meaning, it is asserted that the former should be done, thus also representing the other two, but it would be better to say that all three are summarized by that word. The gradual purification of the path is to know all the completely pure phenomena through the door of the nature of being without true reality. The second is the second explanation of the gradual Dharma in detail, that is, the nature of the path is the six perfections, whether or not the ten perfections are included, the difference of the path is the way to explain the six recollections, and the purification of the path is the explanation of non-inherent existence, etc. The second is: Agreed. What is it? It is the gradual activity. Where is it? In this context. By whom? By the Buddha. Where? Here, as before, there are three. The first is: In all aspects of beings, that is, in all parts, by being completely perfect, whatever truly accomplishes the ten grounds, that is it. Where? In the six perfections such as generosity. What is the difference? It is distinguished by the complete purification of the defilements of the three spheres, that is, it is differentiated.

. Is it not necessary to have ten perfections to complete the ten bhūmis? Why is it said that there are six perfections? Because the four perfections of skillful means, power, aspiration, and wisdom are included within the perfection of wisdom, there is no fault. As it says in the Ornament of Realization: 'Therein, the substance is the six perfections, the four perfections are the distinctions of the perfection of wisdom, and in name, they become ten.' Like this, the perfection of wisdom is what gradually abandons all obscurations with the wisdom of non-conceptualization that transcends the world, and what is gathered by the wisdom attained after the path that transcends the world becomes the perfections of skillful means, aspiration, power, and wisdom. Therefore, it is considered that the samāhita perfection of wisdom is the reality, and the four perfections attained afterwards are guided by the perfection of wisdom. The Clear Words says: 'By the power of completely dedicating generosity, etc., even a small amount will never be exhausted as long as saṃsāra is not empty; even if generosity, etc., are inferior and small, they can be transformed into many and excellent; even a small amount of virtue is not despised, but is summarized with intention, and various aspirations are planted; like this, when enjoying the various desirable results of aspirations, one considers them to be the fruits of merit and wisdom, and does not consider them to arise from causelessness or incompatible causes, these are the four: skillful means, power, aspiration, and wisdom, and all four of these are accomplished through the distinction of wisdom, so they are included therein.' Yeshe Zhap says that the order of the perfection of skillful means is not explained, because they are all included within the perfection of generosity, etc. For this, rejoicing, etc., makes generosity, etc., complete, which is skillful means. Dedicating the accumulated merit in this way completely to perfect enlightenment is aspiration. Not being overcome by one's own opposing side is power. Being skilled in all aspects is wisdom.' Thus, it is explained that each of the six perfections includes four. The second is the recollection of the Buddha, etc., as before. It is also the same below. How many kinds are there? Three kinds. In what situation and how should one recollect? In abiding in mindfulness, etc.
