Due to blocking, the three desires to attain omniscience are made the object of discrimination. At this time, from the Sutra, the opposite sides that are made as the correct side are shown as the object of discrimination. Moreover, the Sutra also blocks the attainment of omniscience with those four possibilities, thereby implying that the mixed meditation of simultaneous and subsequent, interrupted and uninterrupted, is shown as the cause of omniscience. This is because this also changes the intention of Nisnanga, and if the three desires are made the object, then it is not in accordance with the teacher's view, which is not obvious. In the "Lamp of Wisdom" it says: Because of the desire to attain omniscience itself through meditating on the object, therefore it is meditation, and because of the desire to attain it without meditating on the object, therefore it is without meditation, and both meditation and non-meditation, and because of the desire to attain it not through meditation nor through non-meditation, therefore it is neither. From those, taking the opposite as two and making the Hinayana attention as one, this is generally the way of teaching that is in accordance with the Sutra, but the number is not good, so it follows the two great masters. Not as it is, is from the aspect of grasping the aggregates as impermanent etc. as true, appearing with inverted attachment. Then, how should omniscience itself be attained? The Blessed One's teaching is: Suchness as it is.
