Therefore, as the Holy One said, the two "phrugs" of the Lion's Leap summarize the first two lines of this treatise, and the commentators Sherab Gyaltsen and others also follow this view. Although Chandrakirti and Shantideva want to follow the Holy One's view, they say that the two "phrugs" summarize the previous treatise, like Dakjing II, and therefore have not understood the Holy One's intention. Therefore, from that, the first going out has nine places, the second going out has seventeen, and the returning has eighteen. It is unreasonable to say that the Good Lion has arranged the Holy One's intention differently. Although even the sutra words quoted in the Sunlight Sutra have not been seen, it seems like proclaiming one's own truth due to jealousy. Furthermore, what he said that the first two lines are in accordance with Shantideva's view is also not in accordance with the Holy One's intention. Shantideva believes that there are nine samadhis with cessation, divided into two going out and one returning. The first is: until cessation, that is, with cessation as the end, going out in nine stages. The second is: from the first dhyana of meditation with cessation to the peak of existence, transcending from one to eight, limited by the consciousness belonging to the desire realm, because it is not samadhi, so this is the ultimate. That is, rising from the cessation that intersects with the peak of existence to the peak of existence, rising from there to cessation, and from there abiding in the mind without samadhi, this has nineteen places. Here, why touch the peak of existence? Because when going up in this way, it is necessary to enter the final cessation, and if other minds do not appear, then after each of the eight samadhis there is entry into cessation, so one will rise from cessation to cessation. That is unreasonable, because the nature of cessation is without mind, so the rising mind is not possible. Therefore, due to the power or reason of not being able to enter cessation, and the peak of existence is very close to it, so the peak of existence is touched slightly. In the Heart Essence, there is no difference from Abhaya. The third is: returning by alternating the nine samadhis with cessation and the nine minds of the desire realm. It is different from the two lines "belonging to the desire realm." These two lines are also used here. The different meaning is the alternation of samadhi and non-samadhi. This is how it is explained. In this way, at the peak of existence

There is a sutra about entering cessation and the obstruction between the final desire realm. I think this treatise does not cover the two mixed combinations. Because this treatise wrote about the sutra that both going and returning have the final obstruction, the emphasis on the word "two" is inappropriate, so I follow the views of the noble ones and the masters. Second, in the Abhidharmakosha it says: "The eight grounds have two kinds of connections, one transcends and goes, after coming, enters the third different category. Transcendence is samadhi." It means dividing the eight grounds of the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions into eight contaminated and seven uncontaminated, and then these two gradually go back and forth in accordance with and not in accordance with each other, these two are distant combinations. Connection means going back and forth in order. Then, abandoning the peak of existence, the seven contaminated and seven uncontaminated, each separated by one ground going back and forth, this is the near combination. Then, from the contaminated first dhyana to the uncontaminated third dhyana, then from the contaminated realm of infinite space to the uncontaminated realm of nothingness, going in this way, and returning in the same way, this is because the categories of contaminated and uncontaminated alternate and enter the third, this is the main practice. Isn't it said that the Arhats who have the support of men and women in the three continents enter without untimely combination, and this situation is called transcendence? If not, how can such transcendence be allowed? These two, although the name of transcendence is the same, the meaning is different, just like the yasa (Sanskrit: yasa) of the first vāyasa (Sanskrit: vāyasa) has the same sound, but refers to crow and milk porridge respectively. The third part has three points: combination, main practice, and summary of meaning. The first point is: going and coming. Where to go? Going to the nine samadhis of the four dhyanas, the four formless absorptions, and the cessation. Relying on what support? Relying on the Bodhisattva path practitioners. In what way? In two ways, in accordance with and not in accordance with. Where is it? From the first dhyana to the cessation, and then from the cessation to the first dhyana, coming in this way. This is the explanation of the first two sentences. The second part has two points: going and coming. The first point has two points: cessation without alternation, and going with alternation of cessation. The first point is: showing the combination in accordance with the way.
