It is shown that in the first instance there is attachment to what is grasped, in the second instance there is attachment to the grasper, and in the third instance there is attachment to self-awareness. This is not an attachment that, like the Mimamsakas and Cittamatrins, acknowledges that the grasped, the grasper, and self-awareness exist in reality, but should be understood as merely the arising of manifest attachment in the individual's continuum. For example, although a Tirthika who holds the view of freedom from elaboration may, due to the power of habit, develop attachment to various phenomena such as form, he does not acknowledge it as attachment. Furthermore, here it is said that the afflictive obscurations have already been abandoned in the first instance, and that attachment to what is grasped, etc., is abandoned in the earlier instances, and that the later ones are abandoned later, but this is not certain. However, it is meant to illustrate how obscurations arise in a rough order. Otherwise, it would be absurd for those of the Madhyamaka lineage not to establish from the beginning that self-awareness is unreal. In short, these texts show how to abandon the two obscurations according to the Madhyamaka system, and if one does not like that system, one does not understand the point that is shown by "if it is not like that, one cannot abandon the obscuration of knowledge," etc. It is a laughing matter to associate the first ground with the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, the second and third with the Cittamatrins, and the fourth with the Madhyamikas. The four things shown here are also explained in two ways as the stages of Madhyamaka meditation. As it says in the Clear Words: "Because that which arises and disintegrates is empty," etc., therefore, the order of meditating on the meaning of the essence is to be kept in mind, which is clear from the Madhyamaka treatises, so I will not think about it here. And, on other occasions, these texts are also cited for how Bodhisattvas meditate on the meaning of the essence. And, in the Difficult to Understand, when showing that the means of enlightenment of the inner heretics are not means, it shows the selflessness that goes everywhere. Showing what enlightenment is like, briefly showing the oral instructions of the lama, in order to show the meaning not mentioned in the verses from the point of view of entry, therefore, "that which arises," etc., is mentioned. The second is the second part of the reason for the contradiction of acceptance, which is the explanation of the meaning of the words. This section is extensive, and first, it is established through the four yogic grounds that the Madhyamaka view can completely abandon the obscurations. The second part has two parts. The Madhyamaka view

The explanation of being able to completely eliminate obstacles and the fact that the view of realism cannot completely eliminate obstacles. The first part is: The explanation that Bodhi, which clings to reality and cannot eliminate all obstacles, is unreasonable. For that reason, it abides in this way. Then, according to one's own system, there are two ways to eliminate obstacles: the way to eliminate afflictive obscurations and the way to eliminate cognitive obscurations. The first part has three points: the determination of the selflessness of all dharmas, the way to practice it, and the way to eliminate self-grasping through practice. The first point is: Anything that is empty of arising and ceasing even in conventional truth is not permanent and the reality of the self. Like a rabbit's horn. You also admit that the consciousness, the self of matter, and the lords, etc., which are established by the inner and outer heretics, are also empty of arising and ceasing in conventional truth. Through this reason, it can be determined that there is no permanent self in the aggregates, etc. Among them, the outer heretics who admit the self, such as the Samkhyas, etc., say that the permanent self is the nature of consciousness, while the Vaisheshikas, etc., think that the permanent self is the nature of matter, and permanence is also devoid of all functional abilities, so it is empty of arising and ceasing. The inner heretics who admit the self, such as the Shunyata sect, etc., think that permanence and impermanence are unspeakable, so for them, arising and ceasing is also unreasonable. The second point is: After determining in this way, the object of focus is the aggregates, etc., which are devoid of the self, and the realms and sources included in the aggregates, etc., the twelve links of dependent origination from ignorance to old age and death, because they arise from causes, so in conventional truth they are dependently originated, are the nature of arising and ceasing, focus on the object of innate self-grasping, in terms of elimination, it is selflessness, and in terms of complete elimination, it is only dharma, and practice in this way. The third point is: After practicing in this way, one will completely abandon the clinging to the appearance of the self, that is, it will cease. Because both self-grasping and the two focus on the same object, the aggregates, and the way of grasping is directly contradictory, so one will enter the reality of the aggregates. The word "ཏེ་" is a word that guides the practice of the next yoga ground. The meanings of the following two "ཡང་" and "དེ་དང་ནས་ཀྱི་" should also be understood in this way. Here, focusing on selflessness is called the yoga ground. The second part has three points: the way to eliminate cognitive obscurations by not clinging to the object of grasping, the subject of grasping, and the non-duality. The first point has three: the object of grasping is unreal
