If it is self-nature, it is for that reason. Some explain that the antidote to obstacles that have already arisen is observation-cessation, and the antidote to obstacles that will arise is non-observation-cessation, but observation-cessation is also effective for the future, so it is unreasonable. Some say that this commentary believes that the Madhyamikas have the path of seeing, which is to please the gods. This commentary refutes the assumption that the path of seeing does not abandon it, or refutes the assumption that the path of seeing does not abandon it, rather than believing that he has the path of seeing, just like the Great Bodhi. In the Commentary on the Clear Words, it says: Separated from the cessation that harms the nature of what has arisen and what has not arisen, and the conceptual thoughts do not operate, this is the self-nature of the ultimate truth of suchness of us Madhyamikas. You are not separated from those conceptual thoughts, so you do not have the view of realizing the ultimate truth. With the power of the inverted clinging that clings to the conventional truth as the ultimate truth, what is exhausted and what is produced in your path of seeing? The second is to refute the view of the realists, the second is to refute with self-contradictory promises. The section here is broad, first extracting the root meaning and establishing what is to be said, and the two parts of briefly showing the root meaning are explained in order. The second part has three: extracting the root meaning and establishing what is to be said, briefly showing the root meaning, and explaining it in detail with external commentary. The first is: The Madhyamika school admits that all dharmas are shown to be without self-nature, if it is not so, if it is admitted that forms and other dharmas truly exist, then the Bhagavan, with the conceptual thoughts of the afflictive obscurations and the cognitive obscurations, in all ways, that is, completely eliminated, this is a very rare place, that is, impossible, this is what is said with indirect words. The second is: Other than the Madhyamikas, the realists believe that the objects of grasping, the grasper, and the self-cognition also truly exist, that is, they admit and proclaim there, and for saying that the Buddha has also exhausted the cognitive obscurations, Maitreya considers this laughable, because of the contradictory promise. The third is the third part of refuting with self-contradictory promises, that is, the section of explaining it in detail with external commentary is broad.

Firstly, consider the connection of the text. The third part has two aspects: the reason for the contradiction in commitments and the actual contradiction in commitments. The first part has two aspects: considering the connection of the text and explaining the meaning of the words. The first point is: When showing the internal contradiction to the realists, one might ask, what is the connection of the four yogic grounds? To this, the Mind-Only school and the Svātantrika Madhyamaka school, although not realizing that phenomena are without inherent existence, because they realize the sixteen aspects of the four truths, such as impermanence, etc., they believe that they can abandon the afflictions of the three realms, in accordance with the two types of realists. Therefore, if the Dharma exists ultimately, then abandoning the two obscurations is contradictory. The affliction obscuration that is shown is merely a side note mentioning the yogic ground for abandoning it, it is just seeking a supplement, and it is not to show a contradiction in wanting to abandon it. Therefore, the three yogic grounds for abandoning the cognitive obscuration are the main ones. Alternatively, it can also show that there is a contradiction in commitments in abandoning the affliction obscuration, which will be explained later. To this, according to the two types of realists, because they believe that the apprehended and the apprehender are true, with their view, they cannot completely abandon the cognitive obscuration. According to the Mind-Only school, because they believe that the apprehended and the apprehender are unreal, by familiarizing themselves with their view, although they can abandon some of the grosser cognitive obscurations of attachment to the apprehended and the apprehender, because they cannot abandon attachment to self-awareness, they cannot completely abandon the cognitive obscuration. Therefore, their commitments are contradictory. According to the Madhyamaka school, because they do not even believe that self-awareness is true, by familiarizing themselves with their view, they can abandon all cognitive obscurations. Furthermore, according to this teacher's view, the four ways of abandoning the affliction obscuration are all the same, but in the way of abandoning the cognitive obscuration, there are three types of attachment: to the apprehended, to the apprehender, and to non-dual self-awareness. Among these, the first two ways of abandoning are common with the Mind-Only school, while the latter way of abandoning is considered uncommon to the Madhyamaka school, so it is arranged in this way. The common meaning is also that for the apprehended and the apprehender, the object of attachment to other substances is blocked, and it is merely similar to blocking the subject. Therefore, the four grounds mentioned here are mainly the way in which a Madhyamaka person, as the basis, generates them in their continuum in order to abandon the two obscurations. The connection shown earlier and also below, reversing the meaning of these texts, is taken as the view of the realists, and it is said that they cannot abandon the obscurations. Therefore, the yoga of
