Would one cover one's mouth and, possessing such a tongue, speak falsely? So forth, he said. The first half of the rain of fame shows the enlightenment of the Hearers, and the latter half shows the enlightenment of the Great Vehicle. Since there is no obstruction, etc., explaining obstruction at the beginning is not the intention, because it does not fit the order. The third part has two: stating the sign and establishing the property of the subject. The first part is: the two great vehicle wisdoms that realize that all stains are exhausted and do not arise are called great enlightenment. What is the difference? The difference in realization is: the characteristic or nature of realizing the reality of all phenomena without distortion. The difference in nature is: the nature of the dharmakaya, etc., being free from all deluded stains, is the nature of being undeluded as it is. Some think that the Indian Sanskrit texts of the Hundred Thousand Verses, etc., are incorrect because they have no sound, but this is unreasonable, because in the Clear Word, "body remainder," etc., are taken out from within, and there are sounds such as "realization white." Therefore, in the Ornament of Clear Realization, it says, "The dharmakaya is the nature of the Perfection of Wisdom as it is," etc., although there is no sound, this commentary has it. The word "is" is for what purpose or for the meaning of certainty, so it says in the Clear Word. The reason is that it is the perfection of wisdom that realizes that all stains are primordially extinguished and do not arise. The order is as follows: combining the two meanings of the subject and the two things taken as signs in order. The second part is: how is it established that the stains have no arising or ceasing? There are two ways to establish this: through scripture and through reasoning. The first is: attachment, etc., afflictions, and the conceptualization of knowable objects as grasper and grasped, obstruct true wisdom, so the obstructions posited by the realists are those that have already arisen. These actually have no cessation, and those posited as not having arisen before are actually unborn, because in the ultimate sense, they are the nature of the dharmadhatu, free from elaboration. Like space having no arising or ceasing, it is an example of pervasion. The sign is established, that is, in the Middle Extremes it says: Apart from the dharmadhatu, there is no such thing as phenomena. Thus, it says that there is no phenomenon that exists outside the dharmadhatu. The word "ram" is used to introduce the following proof.

These are common words. Secondly, combine the meaning of the subject and the proposition as before, and use it as a reasonable reason, that is, because there is no real thing. Like a lotus in the sky, there is no arising or ceasing for things that do not exist, which is a pervasive example. Establishing the reason is: the valid cognition that refutes by examining the essence, that is, the sign; Vajra Splinters examining the cause; the four-fold arising and ceasing examining the result, etc., through the reasoning of dependent origination, it is established that there is no true existence. In the Clear Words, it is said: It is reasonable for causes and results to exist in the ultimate sense, but there is no real thing that can be established, because it has not been established by the scriptures with definite meaning by valid cognition, etc. This is the self-view. Taking valid cognition as the reasoning for establishing reasonableness, as well as the three types of reasoning of agent, object, and nature that are inferred from it, and the other's view of presenting the scriptures, I do not think both are suitable for this treatise. If you ask: How is the method of establishing with these reasonings? First, being separated from one and many in the ultimate sense is pervasive with no self-nature. For example, an image. These things are also separated from one and many, which is pervasive non-apprehension. As it says in the Ornament of the Middle Way: These things spoken of by myself and others, in reality, are separated from the nature of one and many, so they have no self-nature, like an image. Secondly, whatever does not arise from self, other, both, and without cause in the ultimate sense, has no true arising. For example, a rabbit's horn. These things are also separated from arising from self, other, both, and without cause in the ultimate sense, which is pervasive non-apprehension. As it says in the Root Verses on the Middle Way: Not from self, not from other, not from both, not from no cause, whatever things, wherever, there is never arising. Among them, it does not arise from self, because as it says in the Root Verses on the Middle Way: If the cause and result are one, the agent and the action become one. Like father and son, fire and smoke, seed and sprout, etc., there is the fault of becoming one. It does not arise from other in the ultimate sense, because as it says in the Root Verses on the Middle Way: If the cause and result are other, the cause and non-cause become the same. Just as the seed is considered the cause of the sprout, so should stone and coal be the cause of the sprout.
