Here, all four verses are given as answers because the treatises state that the meditation paths are fixed at nine, and the sutras say that each of them generates three kinds of merit. Then, the number of causes must also change according to the number of effects, so doubts arise as to whether these two are contradictory. Considering that these four verses can answer this doubt, the doubts about the treatises are also dispelled. Here, does the two truths explained refer to what is known to the Madhyamikas who are free from or not free from elaboration, or does it refer to the self-characterized substance and the general characteristic of reversion known to epistemology? It is said that Jang Yeshe held both views, and that the views of the Great Self and Khyung are the latter, while the view of 'Bre is the former, and the venerable Chapa Chokyi Rinchen also agrees with the latter. The Clear Words also states that even a single object is characterized by distinguishing the various reversions that are separated from many similar and dissimilar kinds, and since this characteristic cannot replace the real characteristic, the teacher also agrees, citing the explanation of the first two verses as evidence, clearly indicating that he agrees with the latter view. According to the two explanations, this itself is the meaning of the treatise, because in the Ornament of Realization, the meaning of the various natures that are approximately produced in relation to reversion is completely combined into one, therefore, in the ultimate truth, it is not permissible to regard the meditation paths with the characteristics as described as different. Thus it is said. The various merits generated by the meditation path are the same entity completely combined in relation to reversion, which is said to be the reason why there is no distinction in the ultimate truth. Furthermore, according to your view, in the conventional truth, are the three fruits of the small path different or the same entities? If they are different, then it contradicts what is said in the sutras that they are established in relation to reversion; if they are not different, then it is meaningless to specifically point out the ultimate truth in order to prevent them from being different entities, because they are not different entities even in name. Therefore, the former's idea is that the three merits mentioned as the fruits of the small path, etc., are regarded as different entities, and if so, then the path that produces them will also become three entities, because there are more than nine, so it is thought that the certainty of nine will collapse, that is, it is thought that the certainty is directed at the entity, not knowing that it is directed at the kind. The refutation of this is that even according to his idea, the certainty of nine will not collapse, because the small path

Although I have many reasons, it is because the small meditative path is of the same kind. Although the teacher thinks so, the reason for prohibiting the arising of three different things is that he takes it as the reason for the uncertainty of the number, and if this reason is not established, then the view that the number of things with reason is uncertain will also change. He did it considering this point, and it can also be understood indirectly. If many different merits and fruits are understood as one thing, then many causes of the meditative path can also be understood as the same kind. Therefore, the proof desired by the previous view is not established, and even if it is allowed to be established, the certainty of the number will not disappear, which is the key point. That's all for the elaboration. Now let's get to the point, there are three points: countless etc. cannot be established as different things; the necessity of showing different reverses; therefore, it shows that the certainty of the number will not disappear. The first point is: the nature of the three, countless, measurable, and immeasurable, expressed in words, and the reason why the sutras say that they arise in this way, cannot tolerate distinguishing them as the nature of different things, that is, there is no ability. For what? For the merits and fruits of the nine meditative paths with nine characteristics as mentioned above. Relative to what? Relative to the nature of the three kinds of merits and fruits. The reason is: the meaning of the merits produced by the meditative path, that is, for the only merit, it is only relative to the different reverses transformed from the different places with numbers, etc., and the nature of the countless and other different reverses are completely combined. The second point is: if countless etc. are different reverses, then one countless is enough, why use three to express it? Because the nature of the Dharma that elaborates many reverses, that is, countless etc., as described in the sutras, and briefly shows them, although these natures are the same, they are shown from the perspective of conventional reverses with many names, in order to fully show to the naive beings that the meditative path can produce huge and numerous fruits, the Thus Come One thinks so, and the necessity of doing so is also to let them enter the meditative path. If it is said that showing countless etc. is the co-cause of what, then it is the co-cause of great compassion, that is, the fruit. For this, the mind
