In short, the sixteen self-natures, with the nature of the union of the three wisdoms, although there is no characteristic different from one's own essence, are represented as if they were the signified or the basis that possesses it, so it is. Some think that there is no characteristic other than the union, and the union alone cannot become a characteristic, so it is represented as if it has a characteristic, but the former is appropriate. The second way of representing is, as it is, that is, without error. How are the sixteen? As those that exist from the fourth to the seventh of self-nature, so it is. Where are they? Among these three, the first, the self-nature of the union of all-knowingness, has four emptinesses. That is, because the self-nature of desire and other afflictions manifests, because of emptiness, it is affliction. Those great Bodhisattvas turn into the self-nature of emptiness because desire is completely eliminated. So it is said. The sign of greed, etc., that is, the result, the three evil destinies of body, speech, and mind, because of emptiness, are signs. Those great Bodhisattvas turn into the self-nature of emptiness because of the sign of desire. So it is said. The sign of greed, etc., that is, the cause, the state of things is not truly intended, holding purity in it, and the emptiness of holding aggregates, etc., as true is a sign. Those great Bodhisattvas turn into the self-nature of emptiness because of the sign of desire. So it is said. Desire and non-desire, and the two of hatred and ignorance included by the word "etc.", and their absence, in turn, give rise to attachment to the opposing side and the antidote, so because of emptiness, they are opposing antidotes. Those great Bodhisattvas who give rise to faith and understanding in this profound Prajnaparamita turn into the self-nature of emptiness because of desire and non-desire. So it is said. The saying of emptiness can be connected to all four, the first three are empty of afflictive obscurations, and the last is empty of cognitive obscurations. Second, the self-nature of the union of the wisdom of the path has five. That is, in the ultimate sense, there is no armor for the benefit of sentient beings, but in the conventional sense, it is difficult to armor them all to liberate them from suffering. Those great Bodhisattvas who wear this armor with the intention of completely liberating all sentient beings from suffering, but the imputation of those sentient beings and sentient beings is not available to them, they will do difficult things. So it is said. The vehicle of other Hearers and Solitary Realizers

It is definite that one who abides solely in the Great Vehicle with the characteristic or nature of not falling. The great bodhisattva who thus dons armor, intending to completely liberate all sentient beings from suffering, has no place or occasion to fall into the level of a Hearer or Solitary Realizer. Thus it is said. To strive for the sake of the three great perfections, which are to be accomplished from countless eons, is the purpose. The great bodhisattva dons armor to completely liberate all sentient beings from suffering, and omniscience itself for the sake of wisdom. Thus it is said. Realizing that the object of meditation, the person who meditates, and the dharma of meditation are not perceived is non-perception. In this profound Mother, there is nothing that should be meditated upon, or what is meditation, or what dharma is completely established by which one should meditate. Thus it is said. From the Mother to omniscience, preventing all attachment to phenomena is the prevention of manifest attachment. Some great bodhisattvas who do not manifest attachment to this profound Mother should be regarded as irreversible great bodhisattvas. Thus it is said. Nature to the end of all. Third, the nature of the application of omniscience has seven aspects. That is, it is encompassed by all-knowingness and the knowledge of the path, and focusing on the distinctions of objects made into objects, the aspects of the ground and path, and suchness is focus. The great bodhisattva should examine this profound Mother with a mind inclined towards omniscience. Thus it is said. The clinging of worldly manifest attachment, that this is the self to be grasped, is clinging to complete severance, and so on, this is not to be grasped, is clinging to complete severance, from form to omniscience, thereby showing or realizing the separation from the extremes of grasping and not grasping, is incompatible. This dharma is not taught for the sake of grasping form, nor is it taught for the sake of not grasping. Thus it is said. Knowing that there is no obstruction of the dharma of wisdom to all things such as form is unobstructed. This dharma is not obstructed by anything, and it is not obstructed by form. Thus it is said. Realizing that there is no basis because the knowable is grasped and the knower is not grasped is without foundation. This dharma is without foundation.
