,completely purify all Buddha-fields, and thus manifestly and perfectly attain unsurpassed complete enlightenment. For example, when a ship is wrecked in the ocean, grasping or not grasping wood and other objects is like reaching or not reaching the shore without any internal or external harm, intact and undamaged. Not striving and striving in Prajñāpāramitā, manifesting or not manifesting the stages of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas in the intermediate state, these two are declared to be the antidotes and companions for attaining omniscience. Fourth, it is the distinction of the four moments such as Dharma-kṣānti, which has the object of the Truth of the Path. Wherever else, other than Bodhisattvas, Prajñāpāramitā and others cannot serve as a basis, therefore, the very nature of the Dharmadhātu, that is, the Bodhisattva who possesses self-nature, is the basis for accomplishment. For example, the great Bodhisattva is like this: he will not approach the Śrāvaka-bhūmi or the Pratyekabuddha-bhūmi in the intermediate state. Just as a vase is intact or broken, and water can remain or not remain, the two of grasping and not grasping with skillful means and wisdom are spoken to show whether or not they are the basis for the Dharma to be accomplished. The collection of all the causes for the complete perfection of the ten pāramitās, such as aspiration, is: the great Bodhisattva will not fall into the Śrāvaka and Pratyekabuddha stages. Just as loading goods onto a ship that has been patched or not patched and sailing into the ocean, the two of grasping and not grasping with generosity and so on, are spoken to be known as the perfection and imperfection of accomplishment. Being completely rescued from saṃsāra and nirvāṇa by the means of the inner virtuous friend, compassion, and the wisdom of realizing emptiness is: the Bodhisattva's vehicle is completely rescued by Prajñāpāramitā, completely rescued by skillful means, and will not fall into the Śrāvaka-bhūmi or the Pratyekabuddha-bhūmi. Just as an old man seeking pleasure relies or does not rely on a strong man, the two of grasping and not grasping with skillful means and wisdom are spoken to show that one will not fall into saṃsāra and nirvāṇa and that one will fall into saṃsāra and nirvāṇa. Realizing that all dharmas are without self-nature, therefore, not tasting the flavor of clinging to reality in the manner of clinging and craving to it, and dedicating the roots of virtue to enlightenment is: son of good family, when you practice Prajñāpāramitā, do not generate desire for form. Etc. The so-called "self-nature" refers to the end of each sentence. Third, here it has not been shown that the path of Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas is separate from the sixteen distinctions, therefore

If one does not know the superior aspects of the Mahāyāna path of seeing, the reason for not saying so is for easy understanding. The paths of the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas, due to possessing the nature of arising between the absence of manifest attachment, as mentioned before, and the incomprehensible non-realization, can be understood indirectly. The Mahāyāna path of seeing, because it actually shows the superiority over the Hīnayāna path through the various differences from the absence of manifest attachment to the realization of the inconceivable. In the old translation, it says that manifest knowledge and so on appear in this way. Rinchen also believes that the path of the Śrāvakas and others, from the samādhi, arises manifest knowledge such as the divine eye, produces the nature of partial knowledge, and from it arises detachment and so on, for easy understanding, and because it is well-known in the conduct of the sūtras and Bodhisattvas, it is not mentioned. Some Indian treatises also clearly show this. However, that is a textual error, because manifest attachment is the opposite of the later differences, so it is correct to gradually show the separation from these from the bottom up. Because this is the time to show the absence of the differences just mentioned. The third is the third of explaining extensively from the perspective of classification, which is to discuss the eleven characteristics of action. The third has three parts. The first is to distinguish the superiority over the Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas by characteristics, that is, what is the action of accomplishing the benefit of others in the known practices? As an answer to that, the characteristics of action are stated in two intermediate verses. The second is to explain the nature of each action with seven lines, and finally summarize the meaning and show the way of representation. Among them, the people, because they are the main recipients of guidance, are represented by them, before all the recipients of guidance, and accomplishment, after all. Among these actions, the first eight are common, and the last three, the Great Lord believes, are the respective actions of the three wisdoms such as the base wisdom. However, the previous wise men believed that the first nine were the base wisdom, and the last two were the actions of the path wisdom and the all-knowing wisdom, which is like taking the intention of sunlight as decorative light, so it is good. What appears in this commentary that is inconsistent with those is that the antidote is the action of the base wisdom, separate from the path wisdom.
