Because of the emptiness of inherent existence, being without an object of focus. Therefore, here, from the severance of desire onwards, up to the absence of real inherent existence, this is meaningful. If these aspects are combined with the teachings of the Four Noble Truths, then in the case of the cause, the truth of origination, there are eight aspects; in the case of the path, there are seven aspects; in the case of suffering, there are five aspects; and in the case of cessation, there are sixteen aspects, which should be understood. The explanation is the third, the extensive explanation, which is the section that extensively explains the aspects of the knowledge of the path, elaborating on the discussion of refuting objections to the order. The explanation has two parts: refuting objections to the order, and the aspects of the order. The first is: In other scriptures, it says, "Suffering, its cause, its cessation, and the path." As such, it first explains the result and then the two causes. Here, it explains the opposite, so if these two explanations are inconsistent, is there a fault in the order? If so, then the order of others is also inconsistent with this, so it would be a fault, and the debate is the same. So, what are the two ways of coming about? The explanation from others is: That is done from the perspective of the order of generating the direct realization that knows them. And the explanation here is: It is shown from the perspective of the order of cause and effect, how the result is accomplished from the cause. What is the order of cause and effect? Relying on the side of all afflictions to be abandoned, and taking that as the main focus, the truth of origination is the cause, and the truth of suffering is the result. The other side of all afflictions, relying on the side of purity to be adopted, the truth of the path is the cause, and the truth of cessation is shown to be the result. The second is the second part of extensively explaining the aspects of the knowledge of the path, which is the section on elaborating the aspects of the order, and explaining it through the means of the truth of origination, the truth, what is to be abandoned, and the antidote. The second part has two parts: briefly showing the places where it exists from the perspective of number, and extensively explaining the existing dharmas from the perspective of essence. The first is: Origination, etc., like the root text. The second has four parts: the truth of origination, what is to be abandoned, and the antidote; the commitment and reason for the truth of the path; the characteristics of the truth of suffering, both its own and general; and the explanation from the perspective of the emptiness of the truth of cessation. The first is: The aspects of the Four Noble Truths, within that, explaining the aspects of origination is: The truth of the cause, the aspects of origination are what is to be abandoned.

It is eight. The reason is: as the antidote to cause, origination, abundant birth, and condition, three and three and one and one, a total of eight aspects of antidote, are explicitly stated in the sutra, so the eight to be abandoned are mentioned in passing, that's how it is. If something is the antidote to something, then it is the antidote. Where is it? The eight from the aspect of being free from desire to the aspect of being without sentient beings. Whose is it? The eight from desire to manifest attachment to sentient beings. The method is: the eight to be abandoned and the eight antidotes should be arranged in the order of precedence. Thus, the aspect of the path knowledge of being free from desire, turning away from the object, is the antidote to the desire to see and so on, the aspect of the path knowledge, and the following should also be applied in the same way. The aspect of not abiding in manifest attachment to the object is the antidote to manifest attachment to desire, which is preceded by desire for the object. The reason is: gradually, the power of the two wisdom aspects of path knowledge arising in the continuum causes the two to be abandoned to regress. Moreover, at the time of desire, greed is the main thing, so without greed, desire will also regress. Or, because there is no actual result of greed, it shows that its actual cause, desire, is also absent. Because if the actual cause exists, it is impossible for the actual result not to arise. When greed actually enters the object, desire is its cause, so without desire, greed will also regress. Thus, in the sutra, the aspects of origination are shown from the perspective of the antidote, so the two aspects of being free from greed and being free from desire mentioned there must be explained as the antidote to desire and greed in order, because they are the cause of being abandoned and the antidote, so the interpreters combine the two, one separating from the other, is only separation. As it says in "Sunlight": These things follow each other, because they are similarly possessed. Just like what is said about desire and greed. If it is admitted that desire and greed are similarly co-existent, then neither should be craving, because this is a mental real entity, and two real entities cannot be similarly co-existent. Therefore, the object
