Because there is no object, and because it is not produced by the afflictions. It is said that it does not focus on an object, and that it does not correspond to mind and mental factors. Among them, "obtained after that" does not refer to the subsequent wisdom of both equipoise and subsequent attainment, but refers to entering this path by taking the past path as the first. Also, the end of that sutra says: "The supramundane is not to be practiced by all ordinary people except for the Bodhisattvas who are in high places. Bodhisattvas, although they manifest the supramundane dharmas, do so with skillful means, and do not do so to abandon afflictions. It is said that it is neither a learner nor a non-learner, because it is similar to non-flowing and Nirvana." This is to say that Bodhisattvas manifest for the sake of sentient beings, not for the sake of abandoning afflictions, and it is said that it is not the corresponding path of learners and non-learners, so it is neither associated nor uncontaminated. Second, if one does not rely on the tenets of the Holy Liberation Department in this way, then the inconsistencies with this in other great Mahayana treatises cannot be clarified, and if one does not rely on the explanatory traditions of the two great chariots, one cannot explain the sutras and the intention of Maitreya by oneself, just like a blind person abandoned by a guide. Therefore, here too, it is considered that it is obtained by the power of the path, and that the Buddha also has the ability to manifest it, so it is said to be the wisdom Dharmakaya, but it is not said that the substance of this thing arises in the continuum of the Buddha. The Buddha said to enter this path, referring to obtaining the ability. It is not harmful to say that it is sudden transcendence, just like a mind that is not in samadhi. The intention of saying that it is samadhi is that the mind of entering this path is samadhi, and it is its result, so it is named by the name of the cause, or it refers to the fact that when entering this, the elements of the body are balanced. Moreover, it does not exist before the seven aggregates are stopped, but it exists after they are stopped, so it is established as a conditioned phenomenon. Thus, in the commentary on the Treasury, it is said: "How is it that the absence of mind is samadhi? Is it for the sake of achieving equality of the great elements?"

Or, it is meditative absorption because the mind of meditative absorption meditatively absorbs into it and attains it. Furthermore, are these meditative absorptions substantially existent or imputedly existent? It is said that they are substantially existent because they obstruct the arising of the mind. That is not so, because only the mind of meditative absorption obstructs it. Since only the mind of meditative absorption generates a basis that contradicts it, by what means does it become merely not engaging the mind in other times, and from that, a mind arises that contradicts the mind, and thus it is designated as meditative absorption. That mere non-engagement is also non-existent in what has not arisen before and what arises later, therefore this meditative absorption is designated as conditioned. So it is said. Sixth, some say that one should not engage for more than seven days, because it would abandon the benefit of others, but this is not reasonable, because meditative absorption is also for the benefit of others. Moreover, in the Karuṇāpuṇḍarīka Sūtra, it is said: "The mind of meditative absorption that obstructs the Bodhisattva who is bound by one lifetime causes these ten intermediate kalpas to pass." So it is said. The reason for saying this is that the previous reason is such, and whether the cessation meditative absorption spoken of in this sutra is spoken of from the tenth ground should be examined, and if not, it can be used as a proof for it. Seventh, in the Abhidharmakośa, it is said: "Both have desire and form as their basis, cessation is first in humans." It is said that it first arises in the basis of humans and later arises in the form realm, and it is also said that it is summarized in this way in the Compendium. However, in the Compendium, it is said: "If the ālaya-vijñāna is not accepted, then these distinctions are necessary, and if it is accepted, then it manifests in all three realms." This is the difference between the existence and non-existence of the basis of refutation. In the Abhidharmasamuccaya, it is said: "The formless realm is the most peaceful, and if one enters into it, then one needs to enter in order to pacify what is not peaceful, therefore it does not manifest there." This statement is only a rough distinction, and if examined carefully, there is also a rough flow of mind there, therefore entering there is one's own system. The fifth is the fifth that is explained separately, that is, explaining the aspects of the path of abandonment. Fifth, on the path of abandonment, the aspect of the uninterrupted path of dharma-kṣānti, gathered into the object-possessing by the four truths, is the characteristic of not being associated with the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, which are the four dharma-kṣāntis. This dharma-jñāna is placed at the end of the continuum,
