, thus it is said. Here it is said that (Bodhisattvas) have nothing more to learn, and both kinds of conceptualization are completely abandoned, and that the increase of the cultivation of non-conceptual wisdom is prevented. But in the path of learning, cultivation must be particularly excellent, and because what is to be learned is not complete, it seems reasonable to prostrate to the Buddha, but it is not the right time, and it is said to the Sangha, and in the explanation of the Uttaratantra, it is said that abiding in the three pure grounds is the ultimate mind, so it should be understood as the eighth ground and above. Thus, saying that there is nothing more to learn, etc., refers to the gross aspect, and saying that one learns before and does not learn later, refers to focusing on the former. The three abilities to be obtained are also obtained by cultivating through the support of non-retrogression, from the order of the scriptures, so these three applications should be established from the path of application. This is also in terms of the main aspect, but if analyzed carefully, it must also be established from the path of accumulation. Because these three are cultivating all dharmas as non-elaborate, and purifying the Buddha-fields, and maturing sentient beings, if these three are not done, one will become a non-Bodhisattva. If it is said that the skillful means of application are not present in ordinary beings, but if they were, the first application would have to be present, but that is not the case, because the four maras have not been destroyed. Skillful means is knowing the time and non-time, and that is there, but it is not universally present, just as there is no omniscient wisdom, but it is not that there is none of the eight kinds of realization. The second is the second part of the equality of samsara and nirvana, the meaning of the words, which tells of the chapter of gradually abandoning the four disputes such as having no business. The second part has three: First, the reason for attaining Buddhahood after non-retrogression, which says that the cause, samsara, and nirvana are realized as equality. The Sangha of non-retrogression in the path of learning, having obtained the sign of the dharma of non-retrogression, is because in order to attain Buddhahood, one must strive to cultivate equality. The connection of the sutra is: In the Eighth Chapter of the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra, it says that one abides in the three doors of liberation and matures sentient beings. Shariputra asked Subhuti, if a great Bodhisattva enters those three doors of liberation in a dream, will the Prajnaparamita increase? It was said in the answer. The second part has two: the actual meaning and the refutation of disputes. The first is what Subhuti said: Venerable Shariputra, if cultivating during the day increases, then in a dream

It also increases through meditation. Why is that? (Someone says) Dreams and daytime are without distinction. The scriptures summarize that: Bodhisattvas, because they realize that the dharmas of samsara and nirvana are like dreams, without inherent existence, therefore, they do not have discriminating thoughts of acceptance and rejection towards existence and peace. Among them, dreams and daytime represent samsara and non-discriminating wisdom respectively. Because they have not awakened from the sleep of delusion and have awakened, they are the same in Dharma nature. If it increases during the day, it means that if the practice of daytime increases Prajnaparamita, then through the power of habituation, it will also increase in dreams. Just as it does not increase during the day, it will not increase in dreams either. The reason is that dreams and daytime do not have discriminating thoughts about what should be abandoned and what should be acquired. In short, increase is only symbolic, so there is no difference in ultimate truth between the increase of antidotes and the decrease of what should be abandoned. Because there is no need to distinguish between what should be abandoned and antidotes. Therefore, in terms of objects, samsara and nirvana are equal. Bodhisattvas and Buddhas also do not have discriminating thoughts of acceptance and rejection, so they do not cling to the difference between increase and decrease in what should be abandoned and antidotes, which is equal in consciousness. The Sunlight Treatise says: Dreams and daytime are without discriminating thoughts, because (dreams and daytime) are non-contradictory aspects and discriminating thoughts of antidotes. What is this based on? The Commentary on Valid Cognition says: Because there are no discriminating thoughts of non-contradictory aspects and antidotes, this is reasonable. Such a translation is correct. Second, There is no karma, etc., because in that case, karmic results would be absurd in ultimate truth, and it would contradict the scriptures. And the four objections to accumulating karma in dreams, and the four answers to them, the sutra says: As said, it is exhausted, meaning that it should be understood as said in the sutra. Among them, the first objection is: The venerable Subhuti, the great Bodhisattva, asked: Any karma done in a dream, will that karma accumulate or decrease? The meaning is, if all dharmas have no inherent existence, like a dream, then the virtuous and non-virtuous karma accumulated during the day with preparation, main practice, and conclusion should also have no gain or loss, like a dream. In the Eight Thousand Verses it says: Whether a man or a woman, if they do virtuous or non-virtuous karma in a dream, will that karma accumulate or increase?
