Even if there is no story of land, it is combined, because it is mentioned in the two great commentaries, the Ornament for Clear Realization, and the Sutras. For the subsequent forbearance of cessation, it is the collection of causes for enlightenment, such as generosity, etc., like the story of war, for more or less, first clinging to combination, and then continuously clinging to the place of subsequent combination, separately blocking each object. Because all phenomena are empty of their own nature, more or less is not established. It is only by fully understanding the fault of the conceptual thought of clinging to more or less in the accumulation of enlightenment, just like the story of war. Why is that? Because like this, it abides in the emptiness of self-nature, so for any dharma, whether it is little or much, it is like before. For the subsequent wisdom of cessation, it is the opponent that harms and the object to be abandoned that are at war, for attachment or aversion, or acceptance and rejection, first clinging to combination, and then continuously clinging to the place of subsequent combination, separately blocking each clinging object. Abiding in the suchness of the path, which is non-dual, so for the grasped, that is, the object to be abandoned, and the grasper, that is, the opponent of the object, the object to be abandoned, which is anger and attachment, is only abandoned, just like the story of war. Why is that? Like this, it abides in the nature of phenomena, so for any dharma, whether it is attachment or anger, it is like before. Because of clinging to the two aspects of perception, the swords and arrows of the demons are the actions of the body and power. Yogis do not have war, through love or by focusing on all phenomena, obstacles will be pacified, so they think. This explanation is not correct. Like this, after waging war, when stopping what should be abandoned, because the cause manifests as inverted clinging, there is no need to separately abandon the result of ripening, what is naturally stopped are four things: the nature of the senses, the village, the basis of the senses, the city, and the objects of the senses, the town, and the cessation of the two combinations of words clinging to self. That is, it is explained by the words that block the two combinations of village, city, town, and words of self, the sense is the place of the person of consciousness, the basis of the sense is the place of the sense like a village relying on a city, and the object of the sense is like a town, which is the basis for many people to enter and leave, because the six consciousnesses enter and leave.

I and others have explained it. The attachment from "I" to "the seer" is spoken of with one's own voice. The story of the king and ministers in the Eight Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra is to symbolize the attachment to "I" and "mine." Because only "I" is related to "mine," the detailed distinction is to symbolize the attachment to "mine" with the story of the ministers, therefore it is said to be four, as stated in the Ornament of Light Commentary. Therefore, the cessation of the four powers, etc., is in the context of subsequent wisdom, showing the way to cease the contaminated ripening, thus showing its function, rather than connecting the cessation of these four with showing the nature of subsequent wisdom, and the attachment to these four as objects to be abandoned and antidotes to be fought against. As the Sunlight Commentary says: The prohibition of connecting what should be abandoned, antidotes, and fighting is because subsequent wisdom has been explained earlier, and then in that kind of situation, the cessation of ripening solely by one's own power is fourfold, thus connecting and applying the sutra to cease these four. Similarly, it is also said in the Ornament of Light Commentary and the Explanation of the Ornament, and in the Eight Thousand Verse Commentary, the fighting is connected first. Shantideva also said that if there is fighting, cessation can be obtained, and cessation is liberation from suffering. What is that? It is the reversal of the various manifestations of consciousness that appear as body, place, and enjoyment. It is also said that if the conceptual thoughts of "I" and "mine" are exhausted, it is liberation. Here, from the signs of the irreversible state of the path of seeing, from the aspects of each of the four noble truths, derived from the occasion of the truth of cessation, a slight examination is made of the category of the powers, etc., to be abandoned. Here, the examination of the powers, etc., to be abandoned is divided into two parts: the nature of what is to be abandoned, and the way to cease it in which realm. The first part has four: power, the basis of power, the object of power, and the attachment to self. The first part has three: the nature of each, the reason for the fixed number, and the boundaries of the last three. The first is: among the twenty-two faculties, the six from eye to mind are focused on the respective five objects and the sum of the six objects; the two faculties of male and female are the nature and difference of those two; the life faculty is the continuous existence of the aggregates from birth to death; the five feelings of pleasure, mental pleasure, pain, mental displeasure, and equanimity are the arising of desire from the first two, the arising of hatred from the latter two, and the arising of ignorance from the last one, therefore it is pervasive affliction; the five aspects from faith to wisdom
