Only non-retrogression is said to be the object of inference as a sign, and it is also said in the Ornament of Realization that it is like the nature sign that proves that a result can arise from the collection of causes. Therefore, from seeing that that sign possesses subsequent attainment, one can infer that unsurpassed enlightenment will definitely arise without interruption. Just as seeing that the number of collections of causes of seedlings is complete, one can be sure that seedlings can arise from it. Similarly, when a non-retrogressing person sees that his own mindstream possesses the main sign mentioned earlier, or possesses other signs related to it, he will have the thought: Now I will definitely attain unsurpassed enlightenment that cannot be attained by other vehicles without interruption. Others also, when they see that someone possesses the bodily and verbal conduct mentioned in the sutras, and that even after a long period of association, their conduct can be examined, it is only for the sake of others that it is said to be a sign to infer from the scriptures that the other person is non-retrogressing. For these, it is not possible to establish the nature of the sign determined by the three modes of valid cognition. Because for a yogi who knows the mindstream of others as it is, there is no need to prove it with signs. And for those with low realization, if they infer only from the words of body and speech, they will be mistaken. Even if it is a special term, it is not certain that one will not mistakenly recognize the realization of a non-retrogressor, because the inner realization of a non-retrogressor is very hidden for that person. Therefore, the three meanings combined by these are only established by the scriptures, and the scriptures can only become valid from commitment, so if one does not understand that the nature of the true sign cannot be established, and establishes it like the sign of the power of things, then it is clear that one does not understand the view of the Lord of Reasoning. Then, it is also unreasonable to say that the main and secondary signs of a non-retrogressor, and the ways in which thoughts arise in his mindstream, are like this. If it is said that it is also very hidden, then its nature is spoken based on the scriptures, and we have not promised to speak after it is established by our own valid cognition, so why look for faults? The second is the second part of explaining the meaning of the sign of non-retrogression, which is the meaning of the limbs, that is, combining the treatises to explain in detail the chapter divisions of the sign of non-retrogression, first briefly explaining it, and the second part has three points: the door of the place where the sign exists.

Beginning with a brief summary, the nature of the characteristics of existent phenomena is explained in detail, summarizing the meaning of both characteristics and what possesses characteristics. The first part is divided into two parts, the first being: The Sangha of the Hearers, due to the distinction of dwelling on the path and the fruit of the path, will become the Four Pairs of Individuals. The Sangha of Bodhisattvas is threefold: starting from the definite aspect, that is, initially from the Seeing Path gathered by forbearance and understanding, and the habitual paths that possess continuity, etc., whoever dwells on them, that Bodhisattva is the assembly that does not regress in this Great Vehicle, that is, the Sangha. The second part is: The warrior Bodhisattva who triumphs over the battle of the Four Maras, whatever of the three, such as the definite aspect, will be explained, what and what are the characteristics symbolized by non-regression, and dwelling by means of realizing and obtaining it, etc. The fourth volume will be explained. The second part is the second part of the meaning of the limbs, the chapter that explains in detail the nature of the characteristics of existent phenomena, first explaining the characteristics of the non-regression of the practitioner on the Path of Application. The second part is divided into two parts: connection, explanation of meaning. The first part is: If asked what are the characteristics of these three types of individuals, which are not mixed and are different from each other? The answer is that these will be explained in detail. The second part is divided into three parts: the characteristics of non-regression of the practitioner on the Path of Application, the practitioner on the Path of Seeing, and the practitioner on the Path of Cultivation. The first part is divided into two parts: brief summary, detailed explanation. The first part is divided into three parts, the first being: Temporarily, the characteristics are spoken of. The second part is: Shown in the commentary. The third part is liberation from attachment from form, etc., up to omniscience, and the aspects or number of characteristics such as no doubt, etc., the Sutra speaks of the definite aspect, etc., with twenty aspects. The second part is divided into three parts, the first being: If asked what are the characteristics of liberation, etc.? The answer is that six are spoken of to show these characteristics. Moreover, it is not just asking about common characteristics. The second part is: Not regressing from complete enlightenment. Where? Dwelling on the heat stage of the Great Vehicle. Through what? Through those twenty characteristics. That is, the eleven, six, two, and one dwelling on the heat stage, peak stage, forbearance stage, and supreme stage, as made in the Sunlight Treatise, as the characteristics symbolized by non-regression, the teacher and the Commentary on Valid Cognition also did the same. Here, the characteristics of the Sutra,
