For what reason is this mother said to be the perfection of being free from desire? The Blessed One declared: Because desire has no object of focus. From "Because desire has no object of focus" to "This mother is the perfection of emptiness of the nature of non-things. The Blessed One declared: Because emptiness of the nature of non-things has no object of focus." Therefore, here, from being free from desire to the nature of non-things, it is established in meaning. If these aspects are applied to the Dharma of the Four Noble Truths, then in the cause, the truth of origination, there are eight aspects; in the path, there are seven aspects; in suffering, there are five aspects; and in cessation, there are sixteen aspects, which should be understood. The explanation is the third, the extensive explanation, which is the section on extensively explaining the aspects of the knowledge of the path, elaborating on the explanation of refuting disputes about the order. The explanation is divided into two parts: refuting disputes about the order, and the aspects of having an order. The first part is: In other scriptures, it says, "Suffering, cause, and its cessation, and likewise the path." Like this, the result is explained first, and then the two causes are explained later. Here, if it is said that the two explanations are contradictory and there is a fault in the order, then the order of the others is also inconsistent with this, so the debate is the same because the same fault is committed. So what is the difference between the two? The other explanation is: That is done in terms of the order of generating the direct realization that knows them. And this explanation is: It is shown from the perspective of the order of cause and effect of how the result is achieved from the cause. What is the order of cause and effect? Relying on the side of all afflictions to be abandoned, the truth of origination is the cause, and the truth of suffering is the result. Relying on the other side of all afflictions, the side of purity to be adopted, the truth of the path is the cause, and the truth of cessation is shown to be the result. The second part is the second part of extensively explaining the aspects of the knowledge of the path, which is the section on elaborating on the aspects of having an order, and explaining from the perspective of the truth of origination, the truth, what is to be abandoned, and the antidote. The second part is divided into two parts: briefly explaining the places of existence from the perspective of number, and extensively explaining the existing dharmas from the perspective of nature. The first part is: Origination, etc., like the root text. The second part is:

Four, the abandonment and antidote of the truth of origination, the vow and rationality of the truth of the path, the self-nature and common characteristics of the truth of suffering, and the explanation of the truth of cessation through emptiness. The first part is, the aspects of the four truths, that is, explaining the aspects of origination among them: the truth of cause, that is, origination, its aspects are eight to be abandoned. The reason is: the antidotes to cause, origination, arising, and conditions are three, three, one, and one respectively, a total of eight aspects of antidotes, which are directly stated in the sutra, so the eight to be abandoned are indirectly implied. If something is an antidote to something, then it is an antidote. Where? The eight from the aspect of detachment from desire to the aspect of non-sentient beings. To what? To the eight from desire to manifest attachment to sentient beings. The method is: to match the order of the eight to be abandoned and the eight antidotes as they are. Thus, the aspect of the wisdom of the path of turning away from the object is the antidote to the desire to see the object, etc., and the aspect of the wisdom of the path is also applied to the following. The aspect of not clinging to the object is the antidote to the attachment of greed that precedes the desire for the object. The reason is: in order, the two wisdom aspects of the path wisdom, the power of arising in the continuum, can reverse these two to be abandoned. Moreover, in the stage of desire, greed is the main thing, so without greed, desire will also be reversed. Or, because there is no actual result - greed, it shows its direct cause - no desire. If there is a direct cause, then it is impossible for the actual result not to arise. In the stage where greed actually enters the object, desire is the cause, so without desire, greed will also be reversed. Thus, the sutra says: The aspects of origination are explained through the method of antidotes, so the two aspects of detachment from desire and detachment from desire mentioned there need to be explained as the antidotes to desire and greed in order, so in order to explain that these are the reasons for abandonment and antidote, the commentators explain these two as separating from one, that is, also separating from the other. As it says in "Sun Essence": These are things
