From meditating on the realization of the four truths, such as suffering, knowing and abandoning, by connecting one's own basis, i.e., one's own place, to the basis of others, i.e., others; and by praising others entering the four truths, such as knowing and abandoning; and by the very nature of being in harmony with the joy of the mind in entering into them, focusing on sentient beings is patience. Thus, this treatise should be connected as follows: by connecting the truths such as the suffering of one's own and others' bases, and praising, and the nature of being in harmony, for those who have become the summit, focusing on the difference between one's own and others' bases, and focusing on the aspect as it is, is called patience. Here, some people do not determine the object to be connected, and say that it is wrong to focus on the truth, saying that the root truth-wisdom and the focus on sentient beings are cut off, which is not reasonable. Because the difference in the aspect of focus here is said to be connected like the summit, there is no cutting off of sentient beings and saying that the truth is focused on. Connecting "connecting to the truth" is an explanation of truth-wisdom, so there is no cutting off, and it is also connecting to others, so it is not that the object to be connected is not determined. Thus, the people of the snowy land impose the defilement of wisdom, which they have not understood the intention of this great being, on others. In the Clear Words, it is said that the first mind is a small warmth, and the two of stopping and acting of good and evil are the small and medium of the summit, and the two of praise and agreement are connected to the great, the first is inconsistent with the three great commentaries, and the latter three are also unreasonable, because this commentary does not emphasize connecting with the three of small and medium, but explains the scope covered by the root words, and connects the four in general, and is inconsistent with the four sutras and commentaries. Therefore, if the three of small and medium are to be distinguished, it should be done as in the root text, so what is said in this commentary should be supplemented by others. Similarly, for patience, also focusing on sentient beings with the three aspects of connecting praise and agreement, sequentially connecting with the three of small, medium, and large, what is said from there is also unreasonable. Dharma Supreme said: As before, at the summit, the aspect of focus was explained through the door of self and other, similarly, one's own basis, i.e., oneself abiding in maturity etc., makes the basis of others, i.e., the disciples,

Directing towards all sentient beings with the various ways of making them ripen, liberating them, and making liberation ultimate, is the supreme of Dharma. The only thing is that the distinction between oneself and others must be combined. Through the three doors of ground wisdom, path wisdom, and omniscience, directing towards sentient beings with the various ways of making the trainable ripen and liberate is, in order, the three supreme Dharmas of small, medium, and large. It is also unreasonable to say that it is explained in the Clear Words. Here, the teacher's disagreement with the three great commentaries is not contradictory because the commentary is made according to the extent of the words of the root text. It also seems to be a translation error if the Realization White is combined in a way that is inconsistent with the great commentaries. The second is that if sentient beings are directed with nineteen kinds of perfect intention and action, then the definite part shown here is mainly the nature of the subsequent attainment. The second is the second at the time of the birth of a special application, which is to avoid repetition, that is, a profound explanation of whether there is a fault of repetition in repeatedly showing the first six manifestations in the three applications of joining, seeing, and meditating. The second is: If it is said that each of the first six manifestations is shown three times in the three joining, seeing, and meditating in various ways, directly and indirectly, these are repeated, because the content expressed is the same, and it is repeatedly shown. By showing that the reason is not established, there are two parts to the answer explaining that there is no fault of repetition: the real answer and the determination of its nature. The first part is: The three manifestations mentioned in the first three occasions by the word "three paths" are the nature of the three paths as they are in the word. The three manifestations mentioned in the first three applications by the word "three paths" are not the nature as the word implies, so they are not repeated. For example, it is not repeated that both the king of beasts and the powerful Brahmin boy are called lions. Some say that whether the three paths shown in those two are the nature is not carefully examined. No matter which occasion it is shown, no one accepts that those such as the path of joining are not the nature. Therefore, it is necessary to examine whether the meaning expressed by the name of the path is as shown. This method should be understood in all similar naming occasions. Showing the meaning itself is: omniscience, etc.
