And without the aspect of purity, and without the object of abandonment and adoption, and knowing the nature of Nirvana, and without the support of abiding in the nature of Dharmadhatu, and knowing them as the nature or state of space, just as it is. Knowing the six, the characteristic of this mother is unborn. The characteristic is without cessation. The characteristic is without all defilements. The characteristic is without purity. The characteristic is without entity. The characteristic is without self-nature. The characteristic is without support. The characteristic is space. Thus it is said. However, in both the Sutra and the Lamp of Wisdom, it is said to be without self-nature, but in the Sunlight Commentary, it says: knowing self-nature. And in the Ornament Commentary, it says: What is called Nirvana is knowing self-nature. Here, too, the word "without" is added to the previous and subsequent sentences, but not to this one, so it seems that "without self-nature" should not be added. Also, knowing that the characteristics of gods, humans, etc., are the emptiness of the mother's characteristics, etc., without disturbing or abandoning the Dharma nature of those things. The so-called characteristics are those that cannot be disturbed by the world, including gods, humans, and asuras. Thus it is said. Dharma nature is not gathered by causes and conditions, so-called knowing not to gather, those characteristics are not gathered by form. Thus it is said. Dharma nature is not to be established anywhere, so-called knowing not to discriminate, those characteristics are not human or non-human, not with outflows or without outflows, not worldly or beyond worldly, not conditioned or unconditioned. Thus it is said. The Tathagata knows how the characteristics of all dharmas abide, and knows to show the distinctions of characteristics, so-called abiding in these characteristics, the Tathagata has truly shown all characteristics. Thus it is said. Knowing that all characteristics are without in the ultimate sense, the characteristic of form is destructible, the Tathagata has realized no characteristic and attained perfect Buddhahood. Thus it is said. These sixteen are spoken from the aspect of knowing the characteristics of the mother, and the mother is also the nature of the path, so it is established as the knowing aspect of the path. The third is the third of explaining the knowing aspect, that is, from the door of omniscience.

Explaining its characteristics of knowledge. The third part has three points. The first is: Under the knowledge characteristic of the path knowledge, the knowledge characteristic is declared through the door of omniscience. The second is: It is explained by three and a half verses, and then the meaning is summarized by the last two lines, thus showing the symbolic method. The final knowledge is for all. Shantipa combines the meaning of the last line of the extensive explanation with the four phrases such as "and say" into one, thus making twelve. The way to know all aspects is for the occasion, and the explanation comes from the sutras, and the previous two are also related to this, and the summary of the previous two is also related to this. Although there are sixteen, they are summarized into three, namely the way to live in peace by relying on the mother, and that is its kindness, and the way to know how to serve the world by it, namely the first, then five, and the remaining ones are arranged in order. The second part is the way to understand the conventional and ultimate truths, namely four and one in order. The third part is the four kinds of wisdom that distinguish between the two truths, time and place, object and subject, and the way to negate the antidote, namely two, four, two, and two, these numbers are arranged in order. The third part is a summary. Where is the summary? It is summarized in the sixteen characteristics of the knowledge of dwelling and so on. Through what is it summarized? It is summarized through omniscience itself. What is the reason? Because the difference between the sixteen forms of wisdom of the object of these sixteen realms, or the characteristics, symbolizes that the yoga of omniscience can generate the sixteen wisdoms. The method is as before. Where is it? After relying on the yoga of omniscience, add "and" before everything, and add "say" after everything. The Tathagata relies on the Dharma of his own cause, that is, the mother of the yoga of omniscience, and manifests the peace of mind in the present Dharma, knowing that the Tathagata relies on and dwells in this Dharma of the mother. This is to say that the word "is" is used to approach the Sage of "understanding suchness" of the Sage. When the Buddha Mother is declared, it is known that one should personally lay out seats and beds, and should be respectful; it is known that because of respect for what should be done, one should be regarded as a guru; it is known that one should be pleased by declaring merits and so on; it is known that one should make offerings to the Buddha Mother by scattering precious flowers and so on. The Tathagata
