There are four. Also, in the Sherdrön, it says: "This symbolizes that the combinations give rise to the very nature of the Tathagata, therefore, the characteristics of knowledge, distinction, and action, that is, the proof of being able to act, are of three kinds. These are the things to be symbolized, therefore, the characteristic of self-nature, that is, the proof of what is to be done, is of one kind, so the characteristic should be known as four kinds." These two are in accordance with the teacher's words. The second is: It should be known. Where is the characteristic of combination? In number, the proof of being able to act is held, and by its power, knowledge, distinction, and action are also characteristics, therefore, the characteristics of knowledge, distinction, and action are of three kinds. The proof of what is to be done is held, and by its power, self-nature and characteristic have the same basis, therefore, the characteristic of self-nature is of one kind, so there are four kinds. The reason is that, in order, these three, knowledge, distinction, and action, symbolize the combination of the three wisdoms, that is, the realization of the base, path, and aspect, and the distinction of being superior to the Lesser Vehicle, and the ability to generate the activities of benefiting others. These combinations are the basis to be symbolized by the first three. The second is the second part of explaining the meaning, that is, the section of detailed explanation through classification, first explaining the knowledge characteristic of the base knowledge. The second part has four: knowledge, distinction, action, and the characteristic of self-nature. The first part has three: the characteristics of base knowledge, path knowledge, and aspect knowledge. The first part has three, of which the first is: Dividing the characteristic into four, of which the characteristic of knowledge has three differences due to the classification of the three wisdoms, and for the time being, the characteristic of knowledge is explained from the perspective of all-knowingness. The second is: The so-called "last knowledge," added to the end of everything, is a detailed explanation, and the last two lines summarize the meaning. In addition, the first sentence answers the question of how the Tathagata arises, and the remaining fifteen sentences are considered to explain the way of showing the world to him. The Sutra Mother theory believes that showing the world to the Tathagata means that relying on the Tathagata, the Tathagata truly knows the world of the five aggregates. These can also be summarized into two types: the way the knower gives rise to the Tathagata, and the way the Tathagata knows, that is, the first sentence and the remaining parts correspond in order. The second part also has three: the worl

Two is knowing sentient beings and the sphere of activity of the mind, and suchness. From the second to the tenth, and the last two, in order. The third is a summary. Where? It is the sixteen characteristics of wisdom, such as the appearance of the Tathagata. Through what? Through the omniscient nature. The reason is that these sixteen objects, as they are, that is, the sixteen aspects of the difference or characteristics of the wisdom that realizes without any object of focus, symbolize the yoga of the omniscient nature, and make it known, capable of generating those sixteen wisdoms. The way of symbolizing is that the state in which that power exists in the yoga is different. In the "Difficulty of Proof", the sixteen aspects of knowing as they are are called "in accordance with reason". But in the following two cases, there is only one in each. In the "Lamp on Wisdom", the appearance of the following without the above is in accordance with the following two cases, but I think those in the "Difficulty of Proof" are correct. Those sixteen are also, where? Relying on the object of the base consciousness, the Tathagata, that is, the beginning of all, and the name of the end of all. Knowing that the power of the Tathagata, etc., arises from the mother of the yoga of the base consciousness, that is: this profound mother generates the ten powers of the Tathagata. And so on. Knowing that the world of the five aggregates itself does not have permanence and momentary destruction, that is: the mother does not show the destruction of these five aggregates, does not show complete destruction. And so on. Knowing the sphere of activity of the minds of all sentient beings, that is, eighty-four thousand or countless thoughts, in the nature of the dharmadhatu free from elaboration, is immeasurable, etc., that is: the Tathagata thoroughly knows the minds and activities of immeasurable, countless, and immeasurable sentient beings, and those also rely on this mother and thoroughly know. And so on. By abiding in suchness, knowing that the mind that is collected is itself not destroyed, but is destroyed in name; and by not abiding in suchness, knowing that the mind that looks outward or is distracted, although it is distracted outward in name, is not distracted in itself, that is: the Tathagata thoroughly knows the collected mind and the distracted mind of those sentient beings, as the reality of the dharma nature.
