Watching makes the listener uncomfortable; these are the three that are added to the end of each item. Thus, falling away from the Dharma practice of the Sangha occurs when the teacher and student both primarily agree on their respective desires beforehand, then the Dharma practice is done, otherwise, they think it should not be done, and it becomes a fault due to disagreement. If it is not like that, then the teacher and student, whether old or young, will be too extreme in finding fault. Here, the reason for mentioning three instead of completing six is to differentiate the last three, which are not falling away from the Dharma practice of the Sangha. In the "Sherdron," it is inappropriate to explain the fourteen items related to either the teacher or the student, the six items related to both, and the forty-three items related to the academic himself. Because the Sutra says that all twenty items are related to both teaching and listening, and the forty-three items also mention the listener, and in the two "Great Commentaries," the forty-three items are also related to both. Shantipa, however, considers that these two are not related and considers that there are twenty items of falling away from the Sangha. Ra Kir believes that all from twenty-one to twenty-five are falling away from the Sangha, which is not in accordance with any of the Sutras, Commentaries, or valid cognitions. Showing that the fourteen and seven items are related to the former to the listener and the former to the speaker, respectively, is to clearly show the order, because both can become both. Second, if the suffering of the hunger and thirst of the three lower realms is described, then for the sake of others, there is aversion to going to the lower realms, that is, displeasure and discouragement; if the praises of the gods and mere peace are described, then for one's own sake, there is joy in going to the higher realms and realizing stream-entry, etc., that is, relying only on oneself, the yogi who practices. These two are explained below in order to explain the previous ones of the same kind in one category. Second, like a precious jewel, although the yogi has many obstacles, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions always care for and protect him, etc., so he will not fall away from yoga. Just as when a mother with many children becomes ill, all of them will provide service to her. In summary: "With four causes, the Bodhisattva is skilled and powerful, difficult to subdue by the four Maras and unable to be moved, abiding in emptiness."
