Secondly, what are the aspects to be realized by the basis-wisdom? From the aspect of non-existence up to the aspect of immovability, there are twenty-seven aspects mentioned in the sutra. With what words? From "This realm is the perfection of non-existence" to "Subhuti asked: "Bhagavan, just like this, this mother is the perfection of immovability." The Bhagavan replied: "Because of the abiding of the realm of dharma."" Which truths are these aspects related to? Each of the three truths is related to four aspects, making twelve in total. The path truth has fifteen aspects, which should be known. Since the sutra implicitly speaks of the four truths as dharma, it is appropriate to say that the latter will be explained. However, it is easier to explain by connecting the dharma and the possessor of dharma, saying "this is this" for these aspects in the sutra by the venerable one. The same reason should be understood for the latter two aspects. For these aspects, the answers in the sutra seem to have a common origin, and when explaining the uncommon essence, it seems that the sutra words are mostly quoted, so the sutra is not quoted one by one. The third is the detailed explanation of the aspects of the basis-wisdom, expanding the chapter and explaining the aspects of the first three truths. The third part has two parts: the first three truths and the aspects of the path truth. The first is: they are characteristics or essence. Where? From the aspect of non-existence to the aspect of non-arising mentioned in the sutra, that is, the twelve aspects. Belonging to what? Belonging to the impermanence of the three truths of suffering, origin, and cessation, and so on, up to renunciation. What is the reason for speaking of the twelve impermanent dharmas with the twelve names of the aspect of non-existence and so on? The four impermanent dharmas are, in order: the absence of permanence, although suffering arises nominally, it does not arise only there, nor does it arise more than a moment; being devoid of the agent's self; and because of selflessness, it is not defiled by the fault of clinging to self. The four causes are, in order: although nominally the cause of producing name and form, there is no place to produce it only there; although nominally possessing the activity of coming and going, there are not these two only there.

Like the sky, although there are inner expressions and speculations in terms of names, it is impossible to express them with their fruits by these alone. Although in terms of names, among the four aggregates of names, there is craving, the cause of rebirth arising from feeling, by these alone, that aggregate of names does not exist. The four, such as cessation, are to be realized by the body of wisdom, not to be obtained by going from one continuum to another. From the very beginning, it is peaceful and cannot be taken away, that is, it cannot be grasped by consciousness as an object of complete enjoyment. Because it is the nature of the Dharmadhatu, it will not be exhausted. Because there is no cause for the birth of one and many, these have been explained. It is appropriate to translate "cannot be taken away" as "cannot be grasped as real." The second is the second of the detailed explanation of the aspect of the base consciousness, that is, the explanation of the fifteen aspects based on the truth of the path. The second has three: the path of reliance, the detailed distinction of the aspects of reliance, and summarizing the meaning by number. The first has two: the actual distinction and the examination of the boundaries. The first is: the truth of the path of the base consciousness is the basis of distinction. The nature of the distinction is: three aspects. The reason for the distinction is: as an antidote to the obscuration of afflictions, one path of the Hinayana without outflows; and as an antidote to the obscuration of knowledge, the path of cultivation with outflows and the path of seeing without outflows, because it can be distinguished in this way. If it is said that the manifestation of the aspect of the base consciousness is not related to the manifestation of the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge, because the Hearers do not realize the nature of the freedom from elaboration, then the omniscient one has included not only the Hearers but also the direct realization of the solitary Buddhas, therefore, for those solitary Buddhas, there is no fault in manifesting the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge to be abandoned, the conceptualization of grasping aspects. The second is: the first four are established as the obscuration of afflictions, and the remaining eleven are established as the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge; for the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge, the first five are established as with outflows, and the last six are established as without outflows; and they are established on the path of cultivation and the path of seeing in order; and the reason why the antidote to the obscuration of afflictions is not distinguished, while the antidote to the obscuration of knowledge is divided into two; and the basis and the nature of these three paths should be understood by these five.
