, because one cannot directly realize the truths. Thus it is said. The Mahayana is also said to rely on the actual basis of the fourth dhyana. The second (part) has three (parts): explaining the number of moments of the path of seeing, how to show the abandonment of what is to be abandoned by seeing, and examining the arising of the number of moments. The first (part): Although the various schools have different views on the number of moments, the more famous one is that in the Abhidharmakosha it is said: "In that fifteen moments, because of not seeing, seeing, the path of seeing." Thus it is said to be fifteen moments. And in the Ornament of Clear Realization and the Compendium of Topics, etc., it is said to be sixteen moments. The second (part) has two (parts): recording the way of explanation, and thinking about whether it is reasonable or not. The first (part) has two (parts): how it is explained from the Dharma Abhidharma, and how the followers explain it. The first (part): In the Abhidharmakosha, it is said that the four acceptances of Dharma are the path of no obstruction that abandons what is to be abandoned by seeing, the four knowledges of Dharma are its path of liberation, the four subsequent acceptances are the path of no obstruction that abandons what is to be abandoned by seeing in the upper realms, and the four subsequent knowledges are its path of liberation. According to the view of the Compendium of Topics, the acceptance of the Dharma of suffering abandons what is to be abandoned by seeing of the suffering of the three realms, the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering makes the path of liberation manifest, and the acceptance and knowledge of the Dharma of the remaining three (truths) are also the same. The subsequent acceptance of suffering focuses on the acceptance of the Dharma of suffering and the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering, holding that "this is the cause of the noble Dharmas," the subsequent knowledge of suffering focuses on the subsequent acceptance, holding as before, and is certain. The subsequent acceptance and subsequent knowledge of the remaining three (truths) are also the same. Therefore, the subsequent acceptance and subsequent knowledge are not said to be the antidote to what is to be abandoned. As it is said in the Compendium of Topics: What is the acceptance of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering? After making separate observations before, the uncontaminated wisdom that is manifest to each one, that is, with which one abandons the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing suffering, this is called the acceptance of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering. What is Dharma knowledge? The knowledge with which one directly realizes liberation after the acceptance. What is the acceptance of knowing the subsequent realization of suffering? The acceptance of the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering and the knowledge of the Dharma of suffering, these two are the cause of the noble Dharmas.

The cause is the wisdom without outflows that is manifestly realized by each individual. What is the subsequent realization of suffering? It is the endurance of the subsequent knowledge of suffering, which must be held. It should also be known that the remaining truths should be combined with endurance and knowledge as appropriate. Thus it is said. Thus, the objects of these wisdoms are the apprehended, with Dharma-kshanti and Dharma-jnana focusing on the Dharma-nature of truth, and the apprehending, with Anvaya-kshanti and Anvaya-jnana focusing on the wisdom of the object. The measure of a moment is until the complete realization of one's own object, which is the completion of the action, not the moment at the end of time, because it cannot be expressed. The nature of these wisdoms is also not mixed with the characteristics of names, as it is said in the Compendium: 'Among them, Dharma-kshanti and Dharma-jnana realize the apprehended. Anvaya-kshanti and Anvaya-jnana realize the apprehending. For all kshanti and jnana, it should be understood that they are yogis abiding without characteristics.' And, the moment of mind is to know that the arising of wisdom towards the knowable is completely perfect. Thus it is said. Secondly, in the Differentiation of the Five Aggregates, said to be composed by the glorious Chandrakirti, the number of what is to be abandoned and the manner of abandoning by antidotes appear as in the Treasury. This teacher has spoken of the number of what is to be abandoned, etc., as in the Compendium, in the context of the Mahayana Path of Seeing. In the second chapter of the Intent of the Sage, the number of what is to be abandoned, the manner of abandoning by antidotes, the manner in which the uninterrupted path and the path of liberation are transformed, the first fifteen are the Path of Seeing, and the sixteenth is the classification of the Path of Meditation, are explained as in the Treasury. In the third chapter, the number of what is to be abandoned is as in the Compendium, and the manner of abandoning by antidotes and the manner of establishing the two paths are done as in the Treasury. In the Commentary on the Entrance, it is explained according to one's own system as in the Compendium, while others explain it differently. Thus, the establishment of another's view seems to be the meaning of the third chapter of the Intent of the Sage. Secondly, in the Collection, the antidotes to what is to be abandoned by seeing in the upper and lower realms are said to be different, because the truths of the upper and lower realms were previously established separately, or because the Dharma-jnana and Anvaya-jnana are said to be in accordance with the activity of abandoning what is to be abandoned in the upper and lower realms.
