Because understanding the wisdom of the Hearer's teaching through explaining and listening with the combination of sound and the ground (of reliance), the method of Bodhisattvas explaining and listening with sound is applied here. The second part has two points: debate and answer. The first point is: Considering that the absence of sound and teaching the Dharma are contradictory, how can one teach the Dharma without sound? Because the two are contradictory, this is said to address the doubt that exists in the mind. Or, it is not only to address the doubt above about what is special about the self-reliant Hearer, but also to address this doubt. The Noble One explains that even without expressing in words the sutras that others do not need to be instructed on, he still teaches the Dharma, and debates this. The second part has two points. The first point is: Manifestation. To whom does it manifest? To the disciples of the self-reliant Hearer, the meaning of what is said is: to whomever and to whatever, in whatever way they want to listen, it manifests to them in that way. Where does it manifest? In the meaning to be taught. How does it manifest? Even without the sound of speech, the meaning of what is said manifests in the way that the listener wants to hear it. Therefore, even without sound, teaching the Dharma is not contradictory. There is no sutra basis for this. The second point is: Even without sound, teaching the Dharma is not contradictory, just like the Buddha. This is divided into two points: explaining the way of making aspirations at the time of cause, and showing that the way of fulfilling aspirations at the time of result is the same. The first point is: So, what is the cause for the Buddha teaching the Dharma in that way? The cause for that is accumulating merit and making aspirations, that is, the way of making aspirations is: When the Buddha, the Bhagavan, became a Bodhisattva, he made the aspiration: May I, having become a Buddha, be able to teach the Dharma without relying on the sound of speech. The reason for making aspirations in this way is: Because verbal expression is what makes the mind wander outwards, and it is also what makes the continuum confused and unable to be pacified, so he saw that fault. The reason for wandering is that without examining the essence with conceptual thought, and without analyzing the distinctions with wisdom, one cannot not speak, that is, one cannot speak, because conceptual thought and wisdom are the motivators of speech. Some people think that speech is inner speech, that is, conceptual thought and wisdom, but this is not the case. As it says in the "Sunlight Sutra": Teaching the Dharma is the nature of speech, so it is a great distraction.

It is said as "transformation," etc., because the teacher also arranged it that way. The previous way of making aspirations, one's own country also did it that way, therefore, the cause of the Buddha and one's own country, both teaching the Dharma silently, is the same way of making aspirations, so it is said that even without sound, they teach the Dharma. In the Ornament of Realization Commentary, just like the Buddha, the Pratyekabuddhas also did it that way. It appears like this. The second is, to appear and transform. To whom does it appear? To the disciple to be tamed, to the meaning to be taught, in whatever way they want to hear, it appears on that mind consciousness. Where does it appear? In the meaning to be taught. How does it appear? Even without sound, it appears just like the way or manner in which one wants to show it. By what cause does it appear? By the power of previous aspirations, etc., by the power of the wisdom of realizing the formless. In what situation does it appear? When the Buddha previously made aspirations, and later attained enlightenment, by that power, even without sound, they can appear in the continuum of the disciple to be tamed, just like the meaning they want to show, similarly, not only the Buddha, but also the Pratyekabuddha themselves, when they attain enlightenment, it is also like that. Therefore, it is not contradictory to teach the Dharma without sound, because the meaning of the word "teaching the Dharma" is, whether there is speech sound or not, the teacher in this way, the Dharma to be spoken, the consciousness of the disciple to be tamed who hears it, is very, very well first created, and later grows from above to above, it is just that. This is to establish pervasion. The example here is, the word "also" is issued from the heart. The second has three, the first is, thus it was said that the Shravakas surpass the Pratyekabuddhas, and then the real, that is, the usual nature of the Pratyekabuddha path. How is it? The Shravakas surpass the Pratyekabuddhas, the path of the Pratyekabuddhas is superior to the Shravakas, so the path is also superior. The reason is, if the cause path is not superior, then at the time of the result, the two differences of the way of manifesting it and the way of teaching the Dharma are unreasonable. The second is, one should know. Where should one know? Taking the rhinoceros horn as an example, representing all the Pratyekabuddha paths. By what and where should one know? Just like the case of the Shravakas. The way is:
