Saying "I can understand" also shows a lack of understanding of the context, because the Shravaka vehicle requires understanding the knowledge of the Shravaka vehicle speaker through voiced narration and listening, while the Bodhisattva applies the method of voiced narration and listening to it. The second part is divided into two points: debate and answer. The first point is: Thinking that soundlessness and teaching the Dharma are contradictory, one wonders how there can be soundless Dharma teaching? Because the two are contradictory, there is such a doubt in the mind, so it is said to dispel this doubt. Or, not only to dispel the previous doubts about the Shravaka vehicle, but also to dispel this doubt. The Noble One explains that even without verbal expression, the sutras that do not require others' instructions can teach the Dharma, and debates this. The second part is divided into two points, the first point is: manifestation. To whom does it manifest? To the self-born disciples, the meaning to be expressed is: to any sentient being, whatever they like to hear, it manifests to them. What is manifested? The meaning to be taught is manifested. How does it manifest? Even without the sound of speech, the listener can listen in the way they like. Therefore, even without sound, teaching the Dharma is not contradictory. There is no scriptural basis for this. The second point is: Even without sound, teaching the Dharma is not contradictory, just like the Buddha. There are two points in this regard: elaborating on the method of making aspirations at the time of cause, and showing the way in which wishes are fulfilled at the time of effect. The first point is: So, what is the cause of the Buddha teaching the Dharma in this way? The reason is the accumulation of merit and making aspirations. The way of making aspirations is: When the Buddha, the Blessed One, became a Bodhisattva, he made the aspiration: May I, upon becoming a Buddha, be able to teach the Dharma without relying on the sound of speech. The reason for making such aspirations is: because verbal expression distracts the mind outwards, and it also disturbs the mind, making it unable to calm down, seeing this fault. The reason for distraction is that one does not examine the essence with discrimination, nor does one examine the differences with analysis, so one cannot not speak, but rather one cannot speak, because discrimination and analysis are the driving force of language. Some people think that language is the inner discrimination and analysis, but this is not the real meaning. As it says in the Sunlight Sutra:

It is said that the demonstrator is the nature of speech, therefore it will become a great distraction. Scholars have also quoted this point in their writings. The previous way of making aspirations, our country (referring to Tibet) also adopted the same way. Therefore, both the Buddha and our country (referring to Tibet), the reason for teaching the Dharma without sound, is that the way of making aspirations is the same, so it is said that even without sound, one can teach the Dharma. In the Ornament of Realization Commentary, it also appears that "Just like the Buddha, the Pratyekabuddhas also make such aspirations." The second point is, manifestation. To whom does it manifest? To what kind of beings to be tamed, for what kind of teachings, in what form do they want to hear, it manifests to their mind consciousness. Where does it manifest? It manifests in the meaning to be taught. How does it manifest? Even without sound, it manifests completely according to the form or way one wants to teach. What is the cause? It is the power of previous aspirations and so on, and the wisdom of realizing the formless. In what situation? When the Buddha made aspirations in the past, and later attained Buddhahood, with this power, even without sound, he can manifest in the mindstream of beings to be tamed according to the meaning he wants to teach, not only the Buddha, but also the Pratyekabuddha himself, when he attains the state of Bodhi, it is also like this. Therefore, teaching the Dharma without sound is not contradictory. Because the meaning of teaching the Dharma, whether there is the sound of speech or not, the teacher's teaching, the Dharma to be taught, the consciousness of the beings to be tamed, are very, very, very well created first, and then grow from top to top, it is only like this. This is to establish pervasion. The example in this case is issued from within with the word "also". The second part has three points, the first point is, like this, after highlighting the characteristics of the Pratyekabuddha above the Shravakas, then the real, that is, the usual nature of the path of the Pratyekabuddha is explained. How to explain? Highlighting the characteristics of the Pratyekabuddha above the Shravakas, the path of the Pratyekabuddha is only more superior than the Shravakas, so the path is also more superior. The reason is, if the path of the cause is not superior, then at the time of the result, the two differences in the way of manifestation and the form of teaching the Dharma are not reasonable. The second point is, it should be understood. Where to understand? On the path of all Pratyekabuddhas represented by the rhinoceros horn.
