It is said that the word "ground" is a technical term for establishing the ground. That's what was said. The purpose of establishing the three vehicles is to understand that the qualities of the three vehicles are fully assembled in the ten grounds. Thus, this teacher seems to have gradually established these positions of entry, and according to his system, abiding in the first three special fruit positions is the remaining three positions of entry, so only the fruit position is spoken of. If the sudden transcendence and sudden entry are also included, it should be explained in conjunction with the specific situation. Shantideva, in the previous six and Chandrakirti's six, declared the realization of the three positions of entry as the Hearer's Ground. The realization of accumulation and practice, like the solitary rhinoceros, is the Solitary Buddha Ground. As mentioned above, the nine Bodhisattva Grounds are counted as one, for a total of nine. These are also said in the sutras, that the Great Bodhisattva skillfully practices the Paramitas, etc., and when practicing the eighteen unshared dharmas, the lineage ground, the eighth ground, the seeing ground, the thinned ground, the detachment ground, and the ground of realizing what has been done, as well as the Hearer's Ground, the Solitary Buddha Ground, and the Bodhisattva Ground are all completely transcended. Subhuti, thus the Great Bodhisattva completely transcends the nine grounds and abides in the Buddha Ground, Subhuti, this is the tenth ground of the Great Bodhisattva. The meaning is that the meaning of transcending up to the word "transcending" is the content from the Hearer, etc., up to the word "only." The meaning of the remaining sutras is the meaning of these nine grounds, etc. When quoting the Sunlight and Eight Thousand Verse Sutra, it was first established on the lineage ground, and white appearance was not counted, and other sutras say that there is white appearance. The difference here is that the venerable one said that there are nine grounds, and if white appearance is counted, it would become ten grounds, so it is considered impure, or it is considered to be included in the lineage ground. In the commentary on the adornment of quoting the nine grounds here, except for the Pramāṇavārttika, the Hearer's Ground is abandoned, and the two followers of white appearance are counted as faith followers. The third has three aspects, first, relying on the collection of antidotes, a middle verse is spoken. Second, on the path of seeing and cultivating, there are eight kinds of antidotes.

It should be known. What is the purpose of those things to be abandoned? It is for the sake of abandoning. Merely things and the two conceptualizations of grasping based on antidotes, and the two conceptualizations of grasping based on the existence of persons as substances and the existence of persons as designations, are for the sake of pacifying them separately in the path of seeing and the path of meditation. The names of conceptualizations appear in adornment appearances, moonlight, Shantighosha, etc. In Sun Appearance, the abandonments of the path of seeing are similar to this, and the abandonments of the path of meditation are merely things and relying on the aspects of antidotes, and the designation in all noble individuals, and the designation of the reason for that designation. Here, it is said that relying on aspects is more subtle than the abandonments of the path of seeing. The first of the four conceptualizations of the abandonments of the path of seeing is the answer to the third question, in the way of not focusing, it is certain to arise from the three realms and abide in omniscience, and the two great vehicles and omniscience are compatible or incompatible. After blocking, if Subhuti thinks that the characteristics of the Dharma that do not exist are certain to arise, then it is only thinking that the Dharmadhatu is certain to arise. That is, not focusing on the object of grasping is the antidote. The second is: from the perfection of wisdom to non-mixture, as before. Not focusing on the object of grasping in these pure forms is the antidote. The third is: for arhats, self-realized ones, bodhisattvas, and tathagatas, as before. Not focusing on the substance of the person in arhats, etc., is the antidote. The fourth is: for names, signs, symbols, and conventions, as before, not focusing on the basis of designation of names, etc., is the antidote. The first of the four abandonments of meditation is: in the answer to the fourth question, the great vehicle does not abide anywhere. Why is that? For example, all dharmas are non-abiding. Subhuti, however, the great vehicle abides in a non-abiding manner. Subhuti, for example, the dharmadhatu is neither abiding nor non-abiding. Subhuti, likewise, the great vehicle is neither abiding nor non-abiding. Just as the dharmadhatu, etc., have no abiding and non-abiding, not focusing on the object of grasping in the same way is the antidote. The second is the fifth question.
