Pages 601 to 671. Pages 601 to 671. It is contradictory to say that the four kinds of conceptualization that are to be abandoned by both have the distinction of the three realms. Also, in the peak application, when explaining the nature of the peak of the path of seeing, it is contradictory to say that it abandons the one hundred and eight conceptualizations of the three realms. If you think that these two paths of seeing are the differentiated paths of the ten bhumis, so they are not contradictory, then the statement that Bhadanta (referring to Śāntarakṣita) considers all the paths in the context of all aspects to be differentiated paths will be obstructed by the words of the noble ones, and everything will become a burden on your own head. Moreover, the words of Asanga, which you yourself have cited as evidence, showing the boundaries of the four attainments, will destroy yourself, because in that, the collection of antidotes is established as both the path of seeing and the path of meditation, and the definite attainment is established as only the path of meditation, but according to your view, both must be established as the path of meditation. Furthermore, according to the order of the words of the *Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra* and the *Madhyamakāvatāra*, on the eighth bhumi, there are no subtle latent tendencies, so there is no activity of afflictions, and it is only shown as the basis of the cognitive obscurations, and on that bhumi, because of being free from attachment to the three realms, it is shown that samsara ceases. You cite these as reasonable aspects, but that paṇḍita who thinks that the nine afflictions of the desire realm are abandoned sequentially on the nine bhumis is truly amazing! Therefore, in the *Sūryagarbha Sūtra* and the *Ornament Sūtra*, there is no clear explanation of the distinctions of the three realms, but in general, the small, medium, and large nine categories of conceptualizations to be abandoned by meditation are applied sequentially to the nine meditation bhumis as antidotes, which is accepted literally, that is, without distinguishing the three realms, but in general, the conceptualizations to be abandoned by meditation have nine categories of difficult and easy to abandon, so it is shown that they are abandoned by the nine categories of large and small antidotes. These are also that bodhisattvas gather together the small, medium, and large categories of the three realms individually and abandon them all at once, that is, by meditating that all the dharmas of the three realms are empty of the two selves and free from elaboration, the clinging to things as real will be reversed, and when it is reversed, all the conceptualizations of the grasper and the grasped of the three realms, which are its cause, will also cease, like a fire that has consumed its fuel. As the *Sūryagarbha Sūtra* says: That is, the nine bhumis included in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, each with the antidote of the nine categories, such as the great of the great of the aspects of conceptualization, are the small paths of meditation.

It is divided into nine types, such as small ones. That is to say, for the nine bases of what is to be abandoned, each or every one has nine, that is, eighty-one to be abandoned and antidotes are declared. Moreover, this is not contradictory to what is said in the Ornament of Sutras, "For this also, the six afflictions should be gradually abandoned." The former, although it said that each one is divided into eighty-one, it did not show gradual abandonment, but only made a slight distinction by showing the place of what is to be abandoned. The latter shows that the six afflictions are divided into nine types and gradually abandoned, but it does not say that the abandoned based on each place is gradually abandoned. Another saying is that for some Bodhisattvas with very dull faculties, it is possible to gradually meditate on the selflessness of the three realms, and it is widely believed that the Dharma Characteristic School also declares gradual abandonment, so it can also be said to be in accordance with these. If one does not understand such intention, saying that it is wrong to establish the abandonment of the Hearers on the Bodhisattva is just imposing the defilement of one's own wisdom on others. Second, in the Determination of the Compendium, it says: Is it to abandon the completely imputed, or to abandon the latent tendencies? From where should one abandon to be called abandonment? Answer: It is to abandon from the latent tendencies, because the completely imputed has already been abandoned from the beginning. Abandoning the latent tendencies is called abandonment. Why? If one abandons from the completely imputed, but does not abandon from the latent tendencies, then the completely imputed will arise again and again. If one abandons from the latent tendencies, then neither the latent tendencies nor the completely imputed will arise again. It is like this. Then, which of the three times is the object to be abandoned? In the Compendium of Categories, it says: The past is not because it has already ceased. The future is not because it has not yet arisen. The present is not because it is incompatible with the path. However, it is to abandon from any aspect of bad states, that is, the antidote aspect of any aspect of bad states arises, and the cessation of the aspect of bad states is the same, just like the arising and ceasing of light and darkness. Its meaning is that the manifested past and future, because they have been destroyed and have not yet arisen, do not need to be abandoned. The present is
