Directly abiding in these six perfections, the Buddhas, Bhagavat, as well as the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, have reached the other shore of the five oceans of knowledge. They will reach the other shore. What are the five? Namely: the past, the future, the arising in the present, the inexpressible, and the unconditioned. Thus it is said. The second (ground) has two parts: the nature of what is to be purified, and the manner in which it becomes completely purified. First, the sutra says that by abiding in this ground, six paths are generated, and six non-paths are abandoned, which is in accordance with the two parts mentioned. As it is said: "By perfecting meditation and wisdom, one attains the sixth ground." And: "By abandoning the mind of joy and fear, one attains the sixth ground." Although it could also be explained by connecting them, the teacher, in accordance with the seventh ground, said that by perfecting the six perfections, the six to be abandoned are abandoned, so here it is explained in the same way. Among the six perfections, for the benefit of others, giving away wealth, children, wives, and one's own body and life, perfecting the perfection of giving, which is the nature of the three types of giving: small, medium, and large, thereby abandoning the mind that desires to attain the enlightenment of the Shravakas. Mainly abandoning the mind that focuses on one's own benefit, perfecting morality, thereby abandoning the mind that desires to attain the enlightenment of the Pratyekabuddhas. Although the former can be abandoned by the former, the Pratyekabuddha is superior to the Shravaka, so the desire to attain the former is more difficult to reverse than the desire to attain the former, and morality is more difficult to perfect than giving. When morality is perfected, the vows of the Bodhisattva are free from all its faults. Perfecting patience, which is not afraid of emptiness, thereby abandoning the mind that is afraid of the non-objectification of inherent existence. Perfecting diligence, which is joyful in giving, thereby abandoning the dejected mind that is overwhelmed by stinginess when initially requested by a beggar. Perfecting meditation, which is single-pointed in giving, thereby abandoning the mind that is displeased when all possessions spontaneously enter into giving in the middle. Perfecting wisdom, which realizes the benefits of giving, thereby abandoning the mind that ultimately, even if one is poor, cannot obtain a beggar and gives up, totaling twelve. The last three to be abandoned, as explained in the "Lamp of Wisdom," are explained by combining the beginning, middle, and end. There also

In short, it has been explained that six things should be abandoned through the six causes of perfection. However, the Sutra says, "Do not be unhappy by giving up all things." And, the root verse also says, "Giving up all possessions, there should be no displeasure." Therefore, when taking the meaning of abandoning the four, five, and two things to be abandoned, it means not wanting to give, and moreover, there is no regret even after giving. Here it says that the fifth one is not unhappy at the time of giving, but not unhappy at the time of giving. These two situations are based on having something to give, and the sixth is based on having nothing. The so-called "even poor" means that if there is something to give, not only does one not give up begging, but even if one is poor, one must abandon attachment to it. Therefore, this means that the mind does not abandon, and if one does not abandon materially, then one will not become poor because of giving. In this way, for those who have started giving, it is comfortable to abandon the meaning of displeasure after giving. The great charioteers of the snowy land, with the meditation focused on benefiting others, and the discipline of abandoning the thought of self-interest, as the antidote to abandoning the first two things to be abandoned; with generosity and diligence, as the antidote to abandoning the four and five things to be abandoned, and the remaining two are the same as before as the antidote to abandoning. The last three are the obstacles of the beginning, middle, and end, and the sixth non-abandonment refers to non-abandonment materially, which is not comfortable to explain. If these two antidotes to abandonment are combined, they need to be combined in order, just like the antidotes to abandonment of the seventh ground. The second is, all-knowing, is able to be obtained. Where? On the ground and so on. Why is it said like that? Because, relying on the Perfection of Wisdom, samsara and nirvana, the two are manifested here. Therefore it is said to be the ground of manifestation. This is because, relying on the Mother Buddha, the equality of samsara and nirvana, which does not abide in the extremes of existence and peace, is realized. By what? Relying on such and so on. The method is, as before. The seventh ground also has two, things to be abandoned and antidotes. First, divide into two, the first is, explaining the twenty faults, that is, abandoning these faults can obtain the seventh ground. Which twenty? That is, the three verses such as "I and sentient beings." The great Bodhisattva abides on the seventh ground and does not do twenty dharmas, which twenty? That is, from "attachment to self" to "contradicting emptiness." The second divides into two, things to be abandoned
