It is also too extreme to be in equipoise, because there is no difference in reasons. Therefore, merely thinking that this was previously the substance of equipoise, it is considered to be a characteristic of the classification of the actual substance of equipoise, but it is not so. For example, a rotten seed, because it was previously the object of a seed, is given the name of a seed. As it is said in the commentary on the Abhidharmakosha: How can an afflicted one be in meditation? Because of wrong thinking. If it becomes too extreme? No, because only those of the same kind are given that name, just like a rotten seed. Furthermore, this is not predicted, and it does not possess that and that's branches. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: Equipoise is virtuous, single-minded. For the afflicted, there is no joy and happiness, excellence and mindfulness, and equanimity and pure mindfulness. Secondly, it is the virtue of worldly meditation and the formless realm, which is called purity or liberation because it is free from the pervasive afflictions of its own realm. Thus, it is also said in the Compendium of Topics: How is it purified? Pure meditation and the formless realms are also called purified because they are virtuous. Classifying it, there are four types: decline, abiding, distinction, and definite distinction, as it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: Purity, the concordant conditions of decline, etc., there are four types. These are, in order, the arising of afflictions of one's own realm in one's own entry, and the pure ones of oneself and the higher realms, and the arising of the unconditioned path and accordance. As it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: The arising of afflictions and one's own realm, and the higher realms and unconditioned accordance. That is to say, the peak of existence has no higher realm, so the distinction is abandoned, and the other four are added to all. The second is the four meditations and the formless realms, and the first three, that is, the seven are the basis of the path beyond the world, but not the peak of existence, because the unconditioned path clearly cuts off its own object, but this realm is because the movement of consciousness is very unclear. Thus, it is also said in the Compendium of Topics: The sphere of neither perception nor non-perception is worldly because the movement of consciousness is completely unclear, therefore it is called without characteristics. The Blessed One said, "To the extent that one enters into equipoise with consciousness, to that extent one realizes all knowledge," like this.

O! As long as there is a clear stream of consciousness, it can be used as evidence for having the uncontaminated all-knowing. Although the upper and lower Abhidharmakośa say this, this teacher believes that when the Śrāvakas practice, it is because they are not skilled in the method, but when the Bodhisattvas practice this, they can turn into uncontaminated because they are skilled in the method. Generally speaking, only the difference between the initial preparation and the main practice is divided into nine types of uncontaminated. The third part is divided into three: the limbs of meditation, the analysis of the objects and aspects of the formless realm, and the explanation of the results of practicing these. The first part is divided into three: the difference between substance and imputation, the nature of the limbs, and the way the number is determined. The first point is: Generally speaking, from the perspective of names, there are eighteen limbs of meditation. The Abhidharmakośa says: "The first dhyāna has five: seeking, examining, joy, happiness, and samādhi. The second dhyāna has four limbs: conviction and joy, etc. The third dhyāna has five: equanimity, mindfulness, correct knowledge, happiness, and abiding. The final dhyāna has four: mindfulness, equanimity, neither happiness nor suffering, and samādhi." Like this. These Vaibhāṣikas believe that there are eleven substances: seeking, examining, joy, happiness, samādhi, conviction, mindfulness, correct knowledge, attention, equanimity, happiness, and the substance of equanimity. The upper school believes that joy and happiness are one substance, conviction is the nature of mindfulness, correct knowledge, and equanimity, so it is considered to be nine substances, and the rest are imputed. Or, all happiness is also counted as one substance because the enjoyment of the wheel of consciousness is the same, so it is counted as eight. The second part has four points, the first point is: Among the five limbs of the first dhyāna, seeking is only seeking the nature. Examining is detailed observation, and both are the initiation of inner speech. These two are also not present in the other three dhyānas in a subsumed way, but exist in a universally arising way, which is explained from the ground of seeking and examining. Both of these can be established as attention or wisdom. Joy and happiness are, in order, mental pleasure in feeling and the pleasure of pliancy in mental factors, which is recognized by the Vaibhāṣikas. The Abhidharmakośa says: "The first dhyāna is, extreme pliancy is happiness." And "The two Sutras, joy is mental pleasure." Like this. If happiness is taken as feeling,
