Third, there are two: ability and maturation birth. The first is: those who follow faith arise from the desire realm, and those who have attained the ground arise in inferior places such as animals by the power of aspiration, and those who arise in the form realm by the power of meditation return to the desire realm to arise in samadhi, and those who manifest in Tushita heaven and other places by transformation, are born by the power of the master's power. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The actions of the wise, and other aspirations, samadhi and power, are desired to be born by power." The second is: those who abide on the ten grounds mostly arise in Jambudvipa (India), and the four continents, and the Thirty-three Heavens, and the Heaven of No Strife, and the Tushita Heaven, and the Heaven of Delightful Transformation, and the king of the Heaven of Others' Freedom, and the lord of the thousand worlds, and the Brahma, the lord of the two thousand worlds, and the king of the gods of the Pure Abodes. Fourth, there are two: the manner of realization, and the indication of whether it is simultaneous or gradual. The first is: on the first ground, the meaning of the Dharma realm being universally pervasive without difference in all continuums, on the second ground, realizing that it is an obstacle that can be abandoned, hence the meaning of the most excellent, on the third ground, seeking to hear is the conducive condition for realizing the Dharma nature, hence the most excellent of the cause by knowing it as the cause, the most excellent of the meaning by the conducive condition, on the fourth ground, the attachment to the Dharma has also turned back, hence the meaning of not clinging to the Dharma nature, on the fifth ground, realizing the nature of oneself and others as the Dharma nature, hence the meaning of no difference in that continuum, on the sixth ground, in the Dharma nature of dependent origination, realizing that there is no Dharma that transforms into defilement and purification, hence the meaning of that which is neither defilement nor purification, on the seventh ground, various characteristics of the Dharma such as the Sutras do not arise in the Dharma realm, hence the meaning of that which is without variety, on the eighth ground, not born.

Having obtained tolerance for the Dharma, one realizes that Kuntuzangpo (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) is without decrease or increase, therefore it is the meaning of without decrease or increase. Due to the transformation of afflictive mind and grasping five consciousnesses along with their objects, one sequentially obtains the state of mastery over Dharmata non-conceptual wisdom and pure realms. In the ninth bhumi, having obtained the four individual perfect knowledges, therefore Dharmata becomes the state of mastery over wisdom. In the tenth bhumi, manifesting as desired and benefiting sentient beings, therefore one realizes that Dharmata is the very state of mastery over action. These two masteries arise from the transformation of conceptual mind consciousness. Thus, the non-afflictive ignorance that obscures the ten Dharmadhatus, which are the ten knowable obscurations, are also abandoned sequentially by the ten bhumis as antidotes. Because they are the opposing sides. As it is said in the Madhyantavibhāga: Universal benefit is the supreme meaning, The supreme nature of the cause-congruent meaning, The meaning of non-apprehension, The meaning of non-difference of all continuums, The meaning of non-complete purification of afflictions, The very meaning of non-difference, The meaning of non-decrease and non-increase, Mastery is the state of four aspects, Ignorance of Dharmadhatu, The ten non-afflictive obscurations, The opposing sides of the ten bhumis, Those antidotes are the bhumis. Thus it is said. That the four masteries are obtained on those three bhumis is also stated in the Ornament of the Sutras: Mind and grasping and conceptualization, Because of transformation, non-conceptualization, In pure lands and wisdom, Mastery is of four aspects. That mastery, on the immovable and so forth, On the three bhumis is fourfold, One has two aspects, other than that, Mastery is thought to be one each. Thus it is said. The second has two: establishing the reasonable side, refuting those who think it is unreasonable. First, which of the ways of realization explained in the Madhyantavibhāga are the ways of realization in equipoise and subsequent attainment? It is the way of realization in subsequent attainment, because there are different ways of leading to certainty at that time. As it is said in the Ornament Illumination: When, by meditating that all dharmas are selfless, the Dharmadhatu is realized by indivisibility with all self-natures, although it has been realized, in order to generate certainty, it is realized separately by the meaning of universal benefit, therefore at the time when the wisdom that makes all dharmas manifestly without self-nature arises very clearly, the Bodhi-
