It is said to be emptiness. Here, in the Commentary on the Light of the Sun, it says: For the source of phenomena, these three kinds of conceptualization are all possible, therefore, the inner and so on here should be understood as they exist. What is said is that mental events, the unconditioned, and the aggregates of form and non-form belonging to the source of phenomena, these three are, in order, inner, outer, and inner-outer. The way of emptiness of these two and the ones below is the same as the first, and the reason for the term and the term is that the three bases of emptiness are, in order, inner object, outer object, and both inner and outer, so for their emptiness, it is also shown as inner emptiness, outer emptiness, and emptiness by both of them. The object of emptiness is to know all phenomena as emptiness, which is the basis of emptiness. By pacifying the one who grasps emptiness, this is the reason for the term emptiness. The way of grasping this fourth dharma nature is consistent with the root and commentary of the Condensed Meaning of the Eight Thousand Verses on the Middle Way, and with the teachers and noble ones. In the Entering the Middle Way, it says: All phenomena are without self-nature, the wise call it emptiness, emptiness is also emptiness, with emptiness as its nature. What is the emptiness of emptiness, it is said that emptiness is emptiness, it is said to eliminate the thought of those who have emptiness as a real thing. Here, the first two lines are the basis of emptiness, then the two lines are the reason for emptiness, then the two lines are the reason for naming it, and the last two lines are to explain the necessity of declaring it as emptiness. The sutra also says: The emptiness of all phenomena is said to be the basis of emptiness, so this is as it is said in the Entering the Middle Way, it is to eliminate the clinging to reality of emptiness, so this basis of emptiness itself is reasonable. Direction is the ten directions such as east, because its shape is very large, so it is called its emptiness. The path of transcendence of sorrow is to combine nirvana with the basis of the path, that is the ultimate truth of attainment. In the sutra and the Commentary on the Light of the Sun and the Commentary on the Ornament of Realization, only nirvana itself is explained, but in the two commentaries it is said that it is only separation, therefore, if it is combined with the reason that neither permanence nor impermanence can be established, then it is appropriate, and the meaning of separation is that the path only cuts off a part of what is to be abandoned. What arises from conditions is the three realms, because it is not established as one, so it is kin

The ability to transform is the reason for the name. The other side of what arises from conditions, the unborn, the unconditioned that does not change other than arising, ceasing, and abiding, the opposite aspect represented by those characteristics, being devoid of birth, etc., is the reason for the name. Transcending the limits means transcending the limits by emptiness of permanence and annihilation. It is being separated from the two extremes. The reason for establishing limits or parts, not even slightly established in the dependent center, is the reason for the name. Pure and complete refers to the explanation of the Sambhogakaya. Beginningless refers to samsara, which is without beginning, end, or center. That is, the beginning, etc., arise in accordance with the nature of phenomena, or transform as the nature of phenomena, is the reason for the name. Non-abandonment means that those aspects, the opposite of abandoning, discarding, and relinquishing, are the reason for the name. From pure and complete, it is an explanation of the Mahayana that should not be abandoned. What is abandoned by both harm and destruction is the skandha, and the absence of that is the Nirvana without remainder. In the sutras of Kashyapa, it is said that the skandha is what is abandoned. The previous Nirvana was with remainder, so it is said that this and that do not repeat. Nature is the emptiness of conditioned and unconditioned phenomena. That is empty from the beginning, so that emptiness is not created by any noble being, therefore conditioned phenomena change, and unconditioned phenomena do not change, so the inability to harm is the reason for the name. All phenomena refer to the aggregates, elements, sources, contact, feeling, form, formlessness, conditioned, and unconditioned. Because this encompasses all phenomena, it is the reason for showing the name. Conditioned and unconditioned phenomena are merely established in dependence on each other, this is the reason for establishing emptiness. Phenomena such as birth refer to birth and cessation, etc., as well as being able to become form, etc., and being able to experience, etc. Being the characteristics of general and specific is the reason for the name. The general and specific that are established as characteristics are merely imputed, this is the reason for establishing. Past, etc., refer to the three times, past, present and future, for each of those, not observing the other two is the reason for the name. Times, etc., are merely imputed to things, this is the reason for establishing. Having refers to the combination or collection of many causes and conditions. Merely the totality of the collection is also not real, this is the reason for the name. Collection
