Having thought in this way, it is also determined in this way that emptiness means that there is nothing at all. If there were some other dharma called emptiness, then there would also be a non-empty dharma, then there would be nothing that would become another dharma called inner emptiness. It says so. For example, when some people see a Gandharva city, the thought of a city arises. Then, upon careful examination, the thought of the city being empty arises, and just that is like there being no other dharma called the emptiness of the city. Similarly, when the thought of dharma arises for form and so on, upon careful examination, those objects are not found, so there is no thought of dharma, and the thought of emptiness arises, and just that is not allowed to be another dharma called emptiness. It is said, and again from that itself: Because there is no emptiness, there is also no non-emptiness. Because there is no non-emptiness, there is also no emptiness. Here, it is permissible to say that. It should not be said that there is no emptiness, because all dharmas are empty. It should not be said that there is emptiness, because upon discriminating in this way, there is no other dharma called emptiness. It says. If emptiness is not empty by the characteristic of emptiness, then there would be a non-empty dharma, so the statement that all dharmas are empty, and the characteristic of emptiness is contradictory, so it would contradict emptiness. Thus, emptiness is also not another dharma called emptiness, so it is admitted to be empty by the characteristic of emptiness. It says. In the case of ultimate emptiness as well. Nirvana is also said to be empty by Nirvana, which means that ultimate Nirvana is empty by the nature of imputed Nirvana. Shouldn't it be said that Nirvana is permanent? Some of the Shravaka Vehicle practitioners with conceptualization are like that, but in ultimate truth, there is no dharma called Nirvana. It says, and so on, in many instances, it has been said many times that ultimate truth and emptiness are empty by their own nature. Ultimate truth and emptiness are not by nature

How can emptiness and the inherently existent permanence be the same? Therefore, saying "self-nature is the appearance of the completely imputed, not existent, and the non-dual self-nature is not non-existent" is because if the self-nature that is free from all extremes is negated, the two negations will reveal the truth, fearing that it will ultimately fall into extremes, so it is said after considering that the reality of all phenomena is like that. In reality, it is not that it is considered that the inherently existent permanence is established. In the case of the unconditioned emptiness, even in the manner of the Hearers, if these do not exist in the ultimate truth, then what need is there to even mention the manner of emptiness? Therefore, it is said that the unconditioned is not established in reality. In the case of emptiness, it is also taught in the lineage of oral instructions. In the "Subduing Harm of the Hundred Thousand," it also says: "The self-nature of form not being established in the ultimate truth is called emptiness, and it should not be like one emptying the other, like a vessel and its contents." This is not in accordance with anything. Because no other great chariot masters agree with these views, wise people should abandon them like ashes of spit. The second point is that after negating the conditioned, the unconditioned (is established), similarly, after negating the existent, the non-existent (is established), after negating existence, non-existence (is established), after negating otherness, selfness (is established), and after negating emptiness, non-emptiness is established in its place. In short, some parts are negated, some parts are established, and it does not go beyond the scope of negation and affirmation, and acceptance and rejection. This is not a limited emptiness. Rather, it is the emptiness that cuts through the net of all elaboration. If no phenomena are examined, although it appears as a pleasant illusion in the face of delusion, in the ultimate truth, it is empty by its own nature from the beginning, so nothing can be regarded as self-nature. As the Root Verses on the Middle Way says: "If the conditioned is not established, then what can be established for the unconditioned?" And, those who view self, other, existent, and non-existent, they have not truly seen the teachings of the Buddha. And, if there is a little non-emptiness, then emptiness will also exist. If there is not a little non-emptiness, then how can emptiness exist? And, the Commentary on the Mind also says: "Without an object of focus, it is like an illusion. Emptiness destroys existence and peace. Peace is the place of all phenomena. This should be constantly meditated upon."
