Like a mother, like earth and gold. Third, possessing superior intention with superior intention is like the waxing moon, because all the virtuous dharmas such as the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment increase more and more. For example, the great Bodhisattva Shariputra abides in the mother, and should perfect the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and should meditate on the ten powers, the eighteen unshared qualities, and the four immeasurables. Thus, the term "mother" should be understood as Prajnaparamita, in order to shorten the phrases. Fourth, possessing the yoga of the three unborn knowledges is like fire, because it burns the firewood of obscurations that hinder the knowledge of the three unborn dharmas, the objects of the three knowledges. One desires to transcend by observing all-knowingness with knowledge and vision, and to perfect the knowledge of the path, and to subsequently attain all-knowingness, and to perfect the desire to know the minds, behaviors, and forms of knowledge of all sentient beings, and to abandon all the afflictions that connect habitual patterns, and so on. In the Ornament, possessing yoga is explained as being like the moon, and possessing superior intention is explained as being like fire, in a reversed manner, in order to understand that both occur in both the accumulation and preparation paths. This analogy of meaning is also explained in the explanation of the hundred thousand verse Famous Prajna Lamp, and in the two great commentaries, Shanti and Abhya, and in the Ornament commentary, it is also explained that just as fire increases due to the difference in firewood, yoga also progresses due to difference. The intention explained in this commentary is that this sutra shows how to learn the Prajnaparamita and abandon unfavorable factors through the gateway of the three knowledges, and on the path of preparation, the yoga of the three knowledges is empowered by meditative habituation, so it has excellent power to burn its obscurations, therefore it is considered similar to fire. Fifth, possessing the perfection of generosity is like a great treasure, because it satisfies all sentient beings with the enjoyment of Dharma and material possessions, and yet it never runs out. One desires to establish stingy sentient beings in generosity, and to rejoice in all the roots of virtue of all the sons and daughters of the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles who give generosity, and possessing a mind of arising, with one press

Wanting and so on. Sixth, possessing the perfection of discipline is like a source of jewels, with the very thing that is the basis for generating virtues such as power, which are jewels, being the cause, such as broken discipline and so on. Seventh, possessing the perfection of patience is like a great ocean, with the very heart that does not waver even when all unwanted things such as fire and weapons fall upon it, such as those with harmful minds and so on. Eighth, possessing the perfection of diligence is like a vajra, with the very heart that is unshakable by demons due to firm faith in unsurpassed enlightenment, such as the lazy and so on. Ninth, possessing the perfection of meditation is like the king of mountains, with the very heart that does not move from samadhi due to distraction from focusing on signs, such as mental wandering and so on. Tenth, possessing the perfection of wisdom that realizes the two selflessnesses is like a great medicine, with the very act of completely pacifying diseases of afflictions such as attachment and cognitive obscurations such as grasping at objects, such as corrupted wisdom and so on. Eleventh, possessing the perfection of skillful means is like a virtuous friend, with the very act of not completely abandoning the benefit of sentient beings in all situations of prosperity and decline due to compassion and skillful means, even if only a single virtuous thought arises, dedicating it to omniscience with skillful means, wanting to make it immeasurable and countless, and similarly, giving small gifts, keeping small precepts, practicing small patience, making small effort, entering into small meditation, even practicing small wisdom, wanting to do as before with skillful means and so on. By this, like a drop of water falling into the ocean, even dedicating a small root of virtue of the six perfections to enlightenment, it will not be exhausted until it is attained, and it is shown that one can even endure the suffering of the lower realms for the benefit of sentient beings, so it is shown to be like a virtuous friend. Twelfth, possessing the perfection of aspiration is like a wish-fulfilling jewel, with the very heart that fulfills the fruit of whatever one wishes for in one's mind due to the power of the place, accomplishing the body of a great enlightened Buddha, transcending the stage of youth, Buddha
