Thus it is said. Therefore, its meaning is, for example, just as one accumulates an army and gains the status of victory in battle, so too, by accumulating collections, one accumulates an army, and by decisive practice, one overcomes the battle of what is to be abandoned, that is the meaning. Furthermore, in the categories of names for Maitreya, there is also the saying "victory over the unvanquished," which seems to be an error. In the 'Intention of the Sage,' it says that here, from the two paths of seeing and meditation up to the twentieth generation of bodhicitta, is the practice of definite emergence. This definite emergence is the suppression of the ultimate fruit after obtaining victory over the unvanquished, and because it is said that way, translating "victory over the unvanquished" as Maitreya is a translation error. However, it is not reasonable to assert that this scripture establishes definite emergence from the path of seeing, because in the commentary on the Ornament, a quote from Asanga states that the practice of definite emergence relies on the path of meditation, which contradicts the above statement. If that is the case, then it is also unreasonable to say that it exists on the tenth bhumi, because both that scripture and the Easy Explanation say that it relies on the path of meditation, and it does not say that it does not arise. If you ask this, there is no fault, the teacher explains the meaning of that scripture specifically on the path, and Kamalaśīla also says, "This was also spoken by the noble Asanga, that is to say, armor is the characteristic of the six perfections, which is the path of accumulation. The act of entering is warmth, peak, and forbearance, which is the nature of the path of joining. Fifteen of the seventeen collections are gathered by the supreme of worldly dharmas, and are held by the path of joining, the collection of grounds and the collection of antidotes are the path of seeing and the path of meditation. The eight definite emergences are the vajra-like samadhi." Therefore, it is on the special path of the tenth bhumi. The third is, thus, from generating bodhicitta up to and including definite practice, all that is expressed by way of object or cause, all-knowingness is that of the Sage. Second, in three parts: the actual dharma of the path knowledge, how it is expressed, and the individual who is the basis. First, in two parts: the limbs of the path knowledge, and the path with limbs. The first is, the light of the Tathagata makes the light of the gods dim, that is, after destroying pride, it becomes the basis for being able to generate path knowledge. Etc. included in the birth

Being in a temporary state, possessing steadfast bodhicitta. All that is ultimately uncertain is pervaded by the practice of the path's knowledge. The nature of not abandoning samsara, incorporating other samsaras, and so forth. Here, saying "pervaded by the types of causal conditions" does not align with the intention of this scholar. The second part has three points. First, even in the last life, attaining enlightenment depends on the scholar, thus arising from the teachings of the disciple or the Sugata, is the disciple, i.e., the path of the Shravaka, which is merely the one-sided wisdom of realizing the selflessness of the person. If distinguished, there are the paths of seeing and cultivation, although not elaborated in detail, there is also the path of accumulation in essence, as it also needs to be understood by the Bodhisattva. This can also be applied to the Pratyekabuddha. Here, the division of liberation is not discussed because it focuses on presenting it comprehensively. Second, residing alone, the path like a rhinoceros horn, i.e., the path of the Pratyekabuddha symbolized by this, is the one-sided wisdom of realizing half of the selflessness of phenomena. The distinction is the same as before. Third, the path of the Bodhisattva has two points. First, the qualities of this life such as being free from illness, and the qualities of future lives such as not being separated from the Buddha, the path of seeing with great benefits, is the supramundane wisdom of realizing the two selflessnesses before the arising of the uncontaminated path of cultivation. If distinguished, there are sixteen. Second, the path of cultivation has two points. The function of the path of cultivation is the benefit that becomes the result of the path of cultivation, if distinguished, there are six. The boundary is from the second moment of the second ground to Buddhahood. Second, the path of cultivation with function has two points. First, the contaminated path of cultivation has three points. The first point has two points, the actual and the benefit. The first point, the unsurpassed aspiration of mind is, in the contaminated path of cultivation, holding in such a definite way the Dharma that is the virtuous mother. If distinguished, there are twenty-seven. The second point, the three benefits of praise, reverence, and commendation are, in order, for the Bodhisattva who cultivates the three aspirations of self-benefit, two-fold benefit, and other-benefit, the part that pleases the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the part that states the qualities of its meaning. These also have nine each, totaling twenty-seven. Second, the unsurpassed dedication of mind is, in the contaminated path of cultivation, the virtue perfected for the benefit of others.
