If one argues that, in that case, it would be neither a person (pudgala) nor an actual realization (abhisamaya), then there are two responses to this: answering oneself and refuting others' answers. First, here, the reason for establishing actual realization as "mother" and the person as "son" is not because they generate the essence like a mother and son. What is it then? Just as in the world, when someone bestows great benefit on certain individuals, they say, "This is my mother," similarly, the actual realizations of the three types of individuals also accomplish the three desired goals in their respective ultimate ways, therefore they are the mothers of those individuals. Furthermore, this "mother" also gives rise to the temporary desired result of the unpolluted aggregates in the minds of those "sons" who have not yet arisen, and also causes those that have already arisen to continue, therefore she is also a "mother." This is because, in order to perfectly accomplish the ultimate desire, it is necessary to first have the arising and nurturing of the unpolluted aggregates in the temporary state. In this regard, the *Dagl Den* states: "How does this become their mother? It is because they have obtained the three great benefits as mentioned above. Whoever bestows great benefit on beings is called 'mother' in the world. Furthermore, as long as they have not given rise to and nurtured the nature of the unpolluted aggregates, they will not be able to obtain the great benefits mentioned above. Therefore, in essence, it should be understood as giving rise and nurturing. Therefore, this is also a 'mother.'" Therefore, the former way of establishing it as "mother" is by accomplishing the ultimate desire, and the latter is by accomplishing the temporary desire, but only the former is mentioned in the root text and commentary. However, omniscience (sarvākārajñāna) only exists in the state of Buddhahood, so it can only be the nurturing mother of the Buddhas, but it is not regarded as the mother who gives rise to what has not yet arisen. Second, some say that the sutra states, "Obtaining this body does not count as one of the Tathagatas, but obtaining omniscience counts as one of the Tathagatas," therefore, "mother" and "son" are established separately. Because one possesses the realization of the three wisdoms in their mindstream, they can be established as Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas in that order. Therefore, some believe that "mother and son" are simultaneous. Others say that the "mother" accomplishes the three desired goals, which are bestowing benefits, knowing the basis wisdom, and the continuum of the path wisdom.

The three that accord with the omniscient wisdom below the ultimate are: the mother who gives birth to the Buddha and the nature of omniscient wisdom, and the nourisher; the two, the base wisdom and the path wisdom, below the supreme Dharma, are the mothers who give birth to the two noble ones. The benefiting and nourishing mother and son are simultaneous, while the birth mother and son are considered to be prior and subsequent in time. These three mothers are also considered to be the meaning of the previously pure and complete scriptures. These are unreasonable because the concept of mother and son in the establishment does not appear in the Ornament Sutra and its commentaries, and those who have attained omniscience are considered to be Tathagatas, but it is not said to be mother and son. When explaining that the three wisdoms are the mothers of three separate individuals, the three wisdoms of the path of learning are not related to the mother of the Buddha. Because the son is an individual and the mother is the realization, it is not permissible to be non-simultaneous. Therefore, the reason why the base wisdom and the path wisdom below the supreme Dharma are the mothers of their own continuum is to accomplish the ultimate intention of that individual or to generate the temporary uncontaminated aggregates. This is the meaning of the scripture. Similarly, for the continuums of the lower and lower noble ones, it should also be considered the mother who generates the uncontaminated of the higher and higher ones, and the mother who nourishes the uncontaminated of the same time. The second part has two parts: the general meaning and the meaning of the limbs. The first part has four aspects: In which commentary are these placed? Whose assertion is it? From which scripture is the connection analyzed? And refuting other ways of explaining. The first point is: These four points appear in the commentary on the Ornament of Manifest Realization, the Light Commentary, and were initially placed by the noble one. The time of placement is that the necessary commentaries were directly placed in the first three aspects, and the manner of placement also corresponds to the way of dividing the scriptures of debate and response in the commentary on the Twenty Thousand Verses. In the Ornament Light Commentary, it is usually necessary to state the four, such as necessity, as limbs for introducing other content, and if it is not pointed out, it will lead to problems of entering and exiting. Moreover, it is necessary to point out that it is related to the scripture itself, is recognized by the holy ones, and is able to accomplish the necessary things through the methods shown therein. This is generally said, and then some consider it the basis, some consider it the antidote, and some consider it the aspect, as the object to be expressed, and first make a preliminary position.
