Entering the boat of the profound teachings of the Buddha, Crossing the ocean of tenets, reaching the other shore, Leading sentient beings to the precious island of liberation, I bow to the feet of the Dharma Lord. The bright star of wisdom shines among countless stars, The white light of activity illuminates all ten directions, The rays of nectar of good speech nourish the ocean of my wisdom, Creating beauty, the four teachers are victorious. Growing in strength with the essence of definitive meaning, Entering the vast ocean of scripture lotuses, Who is it that proclaims the meaning of the scriptures like a buzzing bee? Like a tree of complete gathering, it appears so lonely here. Therefore, for the expressing words and the expressed meaning, Even if I have no trust in myself, I only follow the words of others, Those writings and sounds are only for rest, And the seventy kinds of profound and beautiful jewel strings, Strung together with the thread of beautiful words, Illuminated by a hundred rays of scripture and reasoning, I publish this one ornament on the neck of the wise. This wonderful garland of golden good speech, Although it will not bring joy to those whose minds and eyes are disturbed by the thorns of jealousy, The body of wisdom is adorned with the garment of diligence. Wanting to create beauty by adding the ornament of the victorious mother, Whoever wise and impartial sees these, In that instant, the smile on his face, Will surely shine brightly. Here, twenty mountains of the view of the aggregates are tall and strong, Surrounding from all directions, The darkness of ignorance is thick, The vines of various evil views obscure the path to liberation, The poison tree of subtle growth gives the undesirable fruit of suffering.
