Thirdly, it is real, and the connection is indicated implicitly. Arguments and answers are mostly indicated implicitly. Among them, the necessity is: the necessary connection; the summary is: the outline of the text; the meaning of the words is: through the detailed explanation of the branches. Here, the wise ones consider that the necessity is shown by the necessary connection, but this is not relevant, because the necessary explanation shows the necessity of the treatise, and the necessity of the five methods of explanation is that of the Sutra. Therefore, the offering and praise show the necessity, because it shows the subject matter of the Sutra, that is, the excellent qualities of the Mother Buddha. What the lamas say is very irrelevant, because the treatise is to explain the Sutra, and the five branches are the methods of explaining the Sutra. The necessity is the necessity of understanding the meaning of the Sutra, and the necessary explanation also shows the two necessities of understanding the subject matter of the Sutra, which is not experienced by others. Because of the excellence of the subject matter of the Sutra, it is inferred that the necessity is shown. Furthermore, if the necessary connection does not show the necessity of the Sutra, then the outline of the text will not show the summary meaning of the Mother Buddha. Therefore, just as the Ornament of Clear Realization and the White Lotus of Realization appear, it should be considered that the necessary connection shows the necessity. The first of the connections that are indicated implicitly is: Noble Maitreya, etc. Among them, the first chapter has thirty-six, the second has twenty, the third has fourteen, the fourth has thirty-five, the fifth has twenty-seven, the sixth has one, the seventh has five, the eighth has thirteen, the intermediate chapter has one, and the concluding chapter has one, for a total of 153. Among them, the eight shown in the first chapter are the connections that determine the order of the chapters, and the others are as appropriate, this is the explanation of the Dharma friend. It needs to be stated that, is this order of connection contained in the words of the Acharya, or is it the meaning obtained? If it is the former, then the first chapter has only twenty-five, so the number is more, and the fourth and eighth chapters have thirty-six and fourteen respectively, so the number is less. If it is the latter, then what is the meaning of the thirty-six of the first? If the detailed explanation of the object and aspect has only one connection, but there are four determinations, so four connections can be obtained, and the ground of

Oṃ. Regarding practice, the complete practice of the seventh ground, including the first, can obtain eight complete practices, so is it thirty-six? Then, why can't the apprehended and the apprehender both obtain two connections? Furthermore, the two sets of four determinations of the Hearer and Self-Realizer in the second chapter, and the four determinations in the fourth chapter, would also become four connections each. Therefore, the statement that the second has twenty and the fourth has thirty-five should be abandoned. Therefore, even for such words that the Paṇḍita did not equally establish, without discernment, scholars also say thirty-six etc. in their respective commentaries from the beginning, like an echo, seeing this kind of statement, so one should strive. If not, what can be done by merely arguing and examining this? Therefore, the connections in the Ornament explaining the Sutra are not actually present, but are implied, and these are all clearly arranged by the teacher according to the circumstances. Those that are not arranged, but can actually be obtained, must be understood by examining them oneself. The answer to the refutation is: Because the realm of phenomena has no difference. And, things cannot be expressed. And, other dharmas also exist. Etc., some are directly shown, and most are implied, which the teacher also clearly explained. Refutation and answer are two, so it will not excessively become six branches of the method of explanation. In the Commentary on Reasoning, it says: Refutation and answer are made into one, for the sake of the meaning of answering the refutation. Therefore. So, why are five branches needed to explain the Sutra? In the Commentary on Reasoning, it says: After hearing the great meaning of the Sutra, for listening and remembering, the listener will be respectful, so first the necessity should be stated. Achieving this is from the condensed meaning. The condensed meaning is from the meaning of the words. The order of reasoning, earlier and later, does not contradict, is from the two. Like this. By stating the connection, the order of the words is connected. By stating the refutation and answer, the reasoning and the earlier and later will not contradict. Through these, it has been explained how the Ornament explains the Sutra in some way. Now, the order of the explanation explaining the Ornament will be explained. Among them, first are the eight verses of the author of the explanation entering into writing, explaining in the order of one, four, one, one, one.
