Thus, Geshe Drakpa translated it in this way, and after that, one should recite, "Omniscience is desired in this way." As it is said in the "Light Commentary on the Ornament for Clear Realization": "From the eighth chapter of the Eight Thousand Verse Sutra, 'The Chapter of Subhuti's Questions,' to the ninth chapter, 'No Dharma is Turned or Reversed.' Subhuti is also the mother of the great Bodhisattvas." What is said in between is the omniscience of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. This is as it is said in the explanation of the classification of the nature of the basis of knowledge. Therefore, here, "For all-aspect knowledge, the Able One's" and "For the path knowledge, the wise Bodhisattvas'" are substitute words. Therefore, the "by" in "by Bodhisattva" of Jowo, etc., is the instrumental case of the first case, which is also the meaning of Ati, which is also the meaning of supreme. Although this is the lowest of the three paths of seeing, it is also the most excellent of the six dharmas of realization of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, so it is unreasonable to say that there is no fault. Furthermore, when Amara asked Banchung and others what the word "etc." included, they replied that it included Solitary Buddhas. When asked if that meant that the detailed explanation did not mention Solitary Buddhas, but only mentioned Hearers, did it also include Solitary Buddhas, they replied yes. When asked if the two were not different on the path, then the result should also be no different, they replied that it was not so, because the difference had been explained. Hearing this, Banchung and others were speechless, which seems to expose the shortcomings of both Amara and his disciples. Thus, after explaining based on the three knowledges, not explaining the remaining five is intended to mean that the five are already included in the three knowledges. The second has four: the extensive explanation of the nature of all-aspect knowledge, peak knowledge, gradual knowledge, and instantaneous knowledge. The first has two: the essence of all-aspect dharma and the way in which it is explained. The first has eleven. The first, aspect, is the object or the difference of what is known, which becomes the object of cultivation. If divided, there are one hundred and seventy-three. The second, application, is the yoga of gathering the three knowledges to cultivate in order to gain control. If divided, there are twenty kinds, from difficult and long-lasting realization to pure application. The third, qualities, are the temporary and ultimate results to be obtained by cultivating application. If divided, there are fourteen kinds, such as subduing the power of demons. The boundary of the ground is established from the path of accumulation to the Buddha ground, which can be known from the text. The fourth, faults, are the differences when application arises.
