The transient wisdom of the earth. The divisions are the same as before. Third, regarding the path of the Bodhisattva, there are two: First, the qualities of this life, such as being free from illness, etc.; and the qualities of future lives, such as not being separated from the Buddha, etc., the path of seeing that possesses great benefits is the supramundane wisdom that realizes the two selflessnesses before the arising of the uncontaminated path of meditation. There are sixteen divisions. Second, regarding the path of meditation, there are two: The function of the path of meditation is: the benefit of becoming the fruit of the path of meditation. There are six divisions. The boundary is from the second moment of the second ground to the Buddha ground. Second, regarding the path of meditation with function, there are two: First, the contaminated path of meditation, there are three: First, there are two, the actual and the benefit. First, the unsurpassed aspiration of mindfulness is: any contaminated path of meditation that holds in such a definite way that the mother is the source of qualities. There are twenty-seven divisions. Second, the three benefits of praise, respect, and extolment are: in order, for the Bodhisattva who cultivates the three aspirations of self-benefit, two-fold benefit, and other-benefit, any part that pleases the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and the part that speaks of the qualities of its meaning. These each have nine, totaling twenty-seven. Second, the unsurpassed dedication of mindfulness is: any contaminated path of meditation that, for the benefit of others, acts as a limb of complete enlightenment. There are twelve divisions. Third, the unsurpassed rejoicing of mindfulness is: any contaminated path of meditation that manifestly rejoices in the virtue of oneself and others. There are two divisions: rejoicing with conventional and ultimate objects. The boundary from aspiration to this is from the second to the tenth ground. Second, regarding the uncontaminated path of meditation, there are two: The path of meditation that manifests qualities is: any uncontaminated path of meditation of the Great Vehicle that becomes the cause of ultimate realization. There are five divisions, such as self-nature. Second, the path of meditation called extremely pure is: any uncontaminated path of meditation of the Great Vehicle that becomes the cause of ultimate abandonment. The divisions are the nine antidotes to the nine to-be-abandoned in meditation. These two act in order for the perfection of realization and abandonment, and then considering the latter as the nature of the path of meditation is self-contradictory, because the abandonment of the two, abandonment and realization, is unconditioned.

These five, from faith to purification, are the path of meditation. Second, the path-wisdom that understands the three paths is said to be represented by the three, object, path, and wisdom. Third, what is this path-wisdom? It belongs to the Bodhisattvas who are skilled in the two truths. The third has three aspects: the actual Dharma of the base-wisdom, how it is explained, and the individual who is the support. The first has nine Dharmas. First, not abiding in existence with the wisdom that realizes the equality of the three times is the wisdom that averts the decline of existence with the wisdom that realizes selflessness. Second, not abiding in peaceful Nirvana with compassion is the wisdom that averts the decline of peace with the power of generating special mind. Third, being far from it because it is not a means of generating the mother of the fruit is the base-wisdom that is bound by clinging to the three, knowable, path, and fruit, as characteristics, and cannot act as its antidote. Fourth, not being far from it because it is skilled in the means of generating the mother of the fruit is the wisdom that possesses special skillful means. Fifth, the base-wisdom of the discordant side is the base-wisdom that abides as an object to be abandoned by Bodhisattvas because it is bound by clinging that enters into the reality of the base in a reversed manner. Sixth, the base-wisdom of the antidote side is the wisdom that can act as an antidote to clinging to it as a characteristic by realizing that the base is selfless. Seventh, the application of the base-wisdom is the path of meditation that indirectly propels the application of Hearers and Solitary Realizers by preventing attachment to the base, form, etc., and is divided into ten. Some consider this to be the path of application, but it exists between the path of accumulation and the peak of existence. Eighth, the equality of that application is the aspect of meditating on the application of the base-wisdom, which prevents the assumption of object and subject, and is divided into forty, with four non-assumptions for each of the ten applications. Ninth, the directly indicated path of seeing of the base-wisdom is the new vision of truth that is free from thirty-two additions and subtractions, which indirectly propels the path of seeing of the lower vehicle. Second, the base-omniscience is considered to be explained by the two aspects, discordant and antidote. Third, whose is this base-wisdom? It belongs to the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, etc. Therefore, in the Chinese version seen by Zhongdunba, it says, "The path of seeing belongs to Hearers, etc."
