It is so. The nature of the first ground, the Joyful Ground, is the accumulation of merit, which is the nature of the path of seeing. The nature of the second ground and so on, which is the path of cultivation, is also the nature of merit. The accumulation of merit that is of the nature of an antidote is the object of both paths. It is said that way, and Asanga also thinks so. Fourth, the practice of definite emergence is that the place of emergence will inevitably produce the emerging, which is the distinction of the ten grounds, which are included in the path. If classified, from the perspective of the place of emergence, there are eight practices of the emerging. Regarding the boundary of the grounds, some say that it can also be attained in one lifetime, as it says in the Ornament of Realization: Those who have accumulated merit in this way, like the Holy Maitreya, are definitely emerging, so the fourth should be the practice of definite emergence. Because it says so. Therefore, the statement that it is not certain that only the last existence has it seems to be an inaccurate translation. It should be understood as the connection of the practice of the Holy One. Entering means accumulating the merit of the army. Accumulating the merit of the army is because victory is obtained from non-victory, so it is definitely emerging. In this way, the connection of practice is also arranged in the Ornament of Realization, and the old translation of the Great Commentary says: Those who have accumulated merit are like this, as if victory is obtained from non-victory. Therefore, its meaning is, for example, just as accumulating the merit of the army and obtaining the position of victory in war, accumulating the army through the practice of merit, and conquering the war of what is to be abandoned through the practice of determination. In addition, there is also the saying of obtaining victory from non-victory in the names of Maitreya, which seems to be a translation error. In the Intention of the Able One, it says: Here, from the two paths of seeing and cultivation, up to the twentieth generation of bodhicitta, is the practice of definite emergence. This definite emergence is the suppression of the ultimate result after obtaining victory from non-victory. Because it says so, translating obtaining victory from non-victory into Maitreya is a translation error. However, this teaching should not allow definite emergence from the path of seeing, because the Ornament of Realization quotes Asanga's teaching that the practice of definite emergence relies on the path of cultivation, because it contradicts this. Even so, the tenth ground

If it is said that it is not reasonable because both that scripture and the 'Easy Understanding' say that they rely on the path of meditation, then there is no fault. Because the teacher specifically explained the meaning of that scripture as the path, and Kamalaśīla also said: "This was also said by the noble Asanga, that is to say, armor is the nature of the six perfections, which is the path of accumulation. The act of entering is the heat, the peak, and the forbearance, which is the nature of the path of application. Fifteen of the seventeen accumulations are included in the supreme worldly dharma and are held by the path of application. The accumulation of grounds and the accumulation of antidotes are the path of seeing and the path of meditation. The eight determinations are the vajra-like samādhi." It is said in this way, so it is the path of the ten grounds' differences. Third, in this way, from the generation of bodhicitta to the definitive practice, etc., the omniscient wisdom represented by way of object or cause is that of the Sage. The second has three: the dharma of the path knowledge, how it is represented, and the person who is the basis. The first has two: the limbs of the path knowledge, and the path with limbs. First, the light of the Tathāgata makes the light of the gods dim, which is destroying pride and becoming the basis for generating path knowledge. Etc., included in the place of birth, the temporary determination is to have bodhicitta, and everything that is ultimately undetermined is pervaded by the path of meditation, the nature of not abandoning samsara, the function of gathering others into samsara, etc. Here, saying that the cause of the cause pervades is not reaching the intention of this teacher. The second has three, the first, even at the time of the last existence, obtaining enlightenment depends on the teacher, therefore it arises from the words of the disciple or the Sage, therefore the disciple is the path of the Hearer, which is the one-sided wisdom of merely realizing the selflessness of the person. If classified, there are two types: the noble path and the path of application, although there is no extensive explanation, in reality there is also the path of accumulation, because that must also be known by the Bodhisattva. This also applies to the Pratyekabuddha. The part of liberation is not mentioned here, it is intended to show everything. Second, living alone, the path like a rhinoceros horn, that is, the path of the Pratyekabuddha represented by it, is the realization of half and two selflessnesses.
