Like the Hundred Treatises, as previously explained, it is merely the appearance of conceptual consciousness in the minds of those to be tamed, and therefore it is not the nature of Prajñāpāramitā. Therefore, although the path is mundane, it is not contradictory to its nature, just like an ordinary person. So, what kind of path do you consider (to be Prajñāpāramitā)? There are three aspects here: the nature of Prajñāpāramitā, its boundary, and its definition. The first aspect has two parts: the basis on which it relies, and the nature that relies on it. The first aspect is: Some (people) say that all five paths of the three vehicles are the nature of Prajñāpāramitā, because in the praise of Prajñāpāramitā it is said: "Buddhas and Pratyekabuddhas, and Śrāvakas all rely on it, the path of liberation is only you, there is nothing else to be said." Thus, if Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas believe that they have realized the selflessness of phenomena, then it is not contradictory for them to have Prajñāpāramitā, but the scope of the words of the Maitreya's treatises, and the fact that the noble ones and teachers do not say that Śrāvakas and Pratyekabuddhas realize all phenomena as free from elaboration, and do not believe so, therefore it is not accepted here. Therefore, the parts of the three noble paths of the Mahāyāna that realize all phenomena as without inherent existence are taken as the basis of the nature. The second aspect is: the wisdom that directly realizes all phenomena as free from elaboration, that is, having reached or being in the process of reaching non-abiding Nirvāṇa. Thus, in the Mother Sutra it is also said: "If one knows that all phenomena are without inherent existence, this is the practice of the supreme Prajñāpāramitā." And "When conditioned and unconditioned phenomena, black and white dharmas, are well destroyed by wisdom, and not even a particle is seen, then the world calls this Prajñāpāramitā." The second point has two aspects: refuting the limits of imputation, and establishing the meaning of existence. The first aspect is: Some people say that the paths of learning are different from higher to higher, so Prajñāpāramitā only exists in the Buddha-ground, because its meaning is that wisdom has reached the ultimate. This is unreasonable, if so, then not even one pāramitā should exist in the path of learning, so not only the boundary of Prajñāpāramitā, but also the boundary of all pāramitās should be considered in this way. If you also think so, then the two, method and wisdom, of the Bodhisattva noble ones, the three trainings, the two accumulations, etc., are all established in the six pāramitās, then all of these should also be admitted only in the Buddha-ground. Because there is no Prajñāpāramitā, so the first

Moreover, the first five pāramitās also cannot obtain the name of pāramitā if the prajñāpāramitā is missing, because the power to obtain the name of the first five pāramitās lies in the prajñāpāramitā that realizes the absence of inherent existence of phenomena. As it is said in the Mother Sutra: "If a cakravartin king is without the seven precious things, he will not obtain the name of cakravartin. Similarly, if the first five pāramitās are without the prajñāpāramitā, they will not obtain the name of pāramitā." Furthermore, on the path of learning, if there is no noble path that leads the five, such as giving, without error to omniscience, and the ten bhūmis cannot be perfected by perfecting the ten pāramitās, because the prajñāpāramitā is missing. This is pervasive, as it is said in the Compendium: "The Buddhas who have passed away and have not yet come, wherever they dwell in the ten directions, all paths are pāramitā, this is it and not other paths." It also says: "Blind people without a guide, hundreds of thousands of koṭis, do not know where to go, how can they enter the city? Without wisdom, like blind people, the five pāramitās without eyes, without a guide, cannot touch enlightenment." The latter is clear in the text itself. If someone says that these are intended to be nominal, that is unreasonable, because there is no reason to harm the real. The meaning of the scriptures saying that the real is nominal has already been explained. For the path of learning, since there is the possibility of progressing upwards, it is also unreasonable to harm it with reasoning that is not prajñāpāramitā. If that were the case, then the first five pāramitās would also be said to be so. Even if one wanted to think so, it would be impossible, otherwise, there would be no pāramitā to practice on the path of learning, therefore the practitioner would not be a noble one, which would be an absolute fault. Therefore, prajñāpāramitā exists on the path of learning, as it is said in the Mahāyānasaṃgraha: "There is no difference between prajñāpāramitā and non-conceptual wisdom, as it is said: A bodhisattva dwells in prajñāpāramitā, and perfects the practice of other pāramitās in a non-dwelling manner." Therefore, those who think that the path of learning and prajñāpāramitā are contradictory, abandon the footprints of all the Sugatas, the cause of the undefiled aggregates of the Buddhas, the only eye for bodhisattvas to seek the path of liberation, thereby separating the mother of the Tathāgatas from life, and making the Buddha's son
