If there is attachment, when subtle attachment exists, how the listener understands the names and terms, the speaker will also correspond accordingly. Therefore, if one considers sound to be a universal continuum, the treatise will become non-substantial, thus becoming non-man-made, and one must acknowledge the statement of the Vedas. If one considers language to be self-characterized, then when it is not spoken, the treatise has not been composed, and like a rhinoceros, it cannot teach the Dharma to the disciples. Secondly, why is it called a treatise? To tame the continuum of the disciples. That is, to generate the three trainings in the continuum of the disciples, to liberate the three aspects of body, speech, and mind from the state of not being able to gather, and to make them enter the state of being able to gather. In this way, it possesses all the meanings of the explanation of the terms. In the Vinaya-vibhaṅga, it is also said: "The treatise of the Victorious Teacher, the Sutra, the Abhidharma, and the Vinaya, are the Teacher and the Teaching." In the Pramāṇavārttika, it is also said: "Ultimately, the Buddha's words are the characteristic of the treatise." Therefore, the words of the Victorious One should also be regarded as treatises. The Dharma refers to this treatise and its commentaries, as well as the explanations of the commentaries. In the Prajñāpradīpa, the four meanings such as the necessity of this treatise are related to the Dharma. As for the commentaries and summaries of Āryadeva, Śāntideva, Kumārajīva, etc., they are related to the necessity. Among them, Buddhajñāna uses the first three sentences to express the meaning to be spoken, from "practicing the Dharma" to "being able to attain enlightenment" to express the ultimate necessity, from "because" to "is necessary" to express the necessity, and the relationship is for the sake of realizing the meaning to be spoken, and after realizing it, ultimately becoming a Buddha, directly showing the relationship between the method and what is born from the method. In the Prasannapadā, the two necessities are also expressed by the phrase "ultimate necessity," and the boundary is explained in a similar way. In the Dukkha-prakāśa, the two necessities are directly shown, and the relationship and the meaning to be spoken are explained in an implied way, which is not the intention of the teacher, because the teacher believes that the meaning to be spoken should be directly shown. Even in the previous explanation, the relationship of meaning can be linked to the meaning to be spoken, but the division of sentences is slightly different. In this way, the first two verses...

It is believed that this commentary is also based on the explanation of the subject matter, as well as the explanations of Buddhashri and the commentary. If this treatise is taken as the main purpose, then it is related to explaining the necessity. If the linguistic meaning of this treatise is fully explained, it can also explain the subject matter and relevance. Therefore, the explanation of this teacher is a completely perfect explanation. There are four of these, the subject matter being: the path of the Buddha alone, which the teacher Buddha spoke of from this Mother Sutra, and the remaining seven represented by it. The ultimate necessity is: the direct perception that others besides Bodhisattvas cannot experience, the nature of the eight true meanings of the Mother Sutra that the wise Bodhisattvas truly determine, that is, the mind and Dharma of Bodhi, that is, the practice of cultivation, placing the ten perfections of wisdom and mindfulness in remembrance, going through the ten grounds, thereby seeing, that is, manifesting. The necessity is: for the sake of ultimate necessity, relying on adornment to easily understand the subject matter in the sutra, which is called the necessity of writing adornment. The relevance is: through implication, that is, through the phrase "the necessity of writing," the necessity and the treatise are linked, and through the phrase "outward," the two necessities are linked. Pure and complete is that direct perception is the Buddha, the supreme of the meaning of the person. As it is said in the adornment: "Immaculate of all obscurations, attaining all kinds of wisdom, like opening a precious vessel, truly showing the Buddha." Just like this. That is also the path to be sought, not the seeker. The meaning spoken by the teacher, that is, what is spoken in this sutra, which others besides Bodhisattvas cannot experience, is: "The wise should all manifest," thus deriving the meaning that the wise, that is, Bodhisattvas, should manifest, that is, knowing that this treatise is clear, this is the main necessity of writing. Placing the meaning of the sutra determined from this treatise in remembrance, "easily and well cultivated," thus deriving that cultivation, that is, practice, is the non-main necessity of writing. By what method should one cultivate? The Differentiation of the Middle and the Extremes says: "Writing, offering, giving letters, listening, reading, receiving, explaining, reciting, and contemplating."
