Or, it is said that it is because it is the first of seeing the four truths completely. The realization of a once-returner is merely the thinned ground, because two-thirds of the desire afflictions have been abandoned. The realization of a non-returner is the ground of being free from desire, because one is free from attachment to desire. The realization of an Arhat is the ground of realizing what has been done, because one realizes that the work of one's own path has been completely accomplished. Thus, there are six grounds. The remainder of the first enterer and the realization of the latter three enterers are combined into one, which is the Hearer's Ground. How do you know that the meaning of the Hearer's Ground is that? Because the term "Hearer's Ground" is not related to a specific term, it is a general term, and it is not contradictory to apply it to specific things. Although it is not contradictory, how do you know that it applies to the three? Because it is the ground of the occasion, that is, it must be explained in terms of any realization of the Hearer's entering state, and because each of the others except for those three has already been explained. Therefore, it can also be understood because it is the remainder. Now, why is it mentioned separately even though one aspect of the higher ground and the remaining five are the Hearer's Ground? Because here, it is intended to clearly explain the system of the three vehicles, so the Hearer's Ground is mentioned. In short, if that name is not mentioned, then the higher grounds will each have different names, so it will be difficult to understand the classification of the three vehicles, and if that name is mentioned, then the grounds of the solitary realizer and the bodhisattva are also mentioned, so it will be easy to understand that classification, that is, it is said in the Sunlight: The Hearer's Ground is intended to clearly explain the classification of the three vehicles, and the ground of the Hearer and the solitary realizer is just a redundant word for classifying the grounds. That's what it says. The necessity of making the classification of the three vehicles is also to know that the qualities of those three are gathered together in the tenth ground. Thus, this teacher seems to be making those entering states in sequence, so according to his view, residing in the special features of the first three fruits is the remaining three enterers, so it is only explained as the fruit state, and if the overcomers and the sudden enlighteners are also included, then it should be explained in conjunction with the specific situation. Śānti said that the previous six and the six of Candrakīrti, as well as the realization of the three enterers, are explained as the Hearer's Ground. Solitary realizer.

Gyase Ru Suchness, as well as the realization of gathering and conduct, is the Pratyekabuddha ground. The nine Bodhisattva grounds mentioned above are combined into one, which is nine. These are also from the Sutra, where the Great Bodhisattva skillfully practices the Paramitas, etc. From "practicing the eighteen unmixed Dharmas" onwards, the lineage ground, the eighth ground, the seeing ground, the subtle ground, the detachment from desire ground, and the ground of realizing what has been done, the Hearer ground, the Solitary Buddha ground, and the Bodhisattva ground are all truly transcended. Subhuti, thus the Great Bodhisattva, having completely transcended the nine grounds, abides in the Buddha ground. Subhuti, this is the tenth ground of the Great Bodhisattva. The meaning before this "transcendence" is the meaning from the Hearers, etc., to the only one. The meaning of the remaining Sutra is the meaning of the nine grounds, etc. When quoting the Sutra in the "Sun Essence" and the "Eight Thousand Verses," it begins with the lineage ground, without counting the white appearance. Other Sutras say there is a white appearance. The difference here is that the Venerable One said there are nine grounds. If counted, it would become ten grounds, which is considered incorrect, or it is considered to be included in the lineage ground. In the Ornamentation Commentary that quotes the nine grounds at this time, the Hearer ground is abandoned, and the two followers of the white appearance and the Adhimukti-carya ground are combined into one, except for the Pramana-varttika. The third has three parts. The first is that, relying on the collection of antidotes, a single intermediate verse is spoken. The second is that it should be known that there are eight kinds of antidotes on the paths of seeing and familiarizing oneself with meditation. These are for the purpose of abandoning what should be abandoned. Merely things, and the two conceptualizations of grasping that rely on antidotes, and the reality of the person, and the two conceptualizations of grasping that rely on the imputed individual, are for the sake of separately pacifying them in the seeing and meditation paths. The naming of conceptualizations appears in the Ornamentation Sutra, the Light Commentary, the Moon Commentary, the Shantideva Commentary, and the Name Commentary. In the Sun Essence Sutra, what is abandoned on the seeing path is the same as this, and what is abandoned on the meditation path is merely things, and relying on the aspect of antidotes, and imputing to all noble persons, and relying on the reason for the imputation, such are the expressions made. Here, relying on the aspect
