Similarly, apply this to the seven grounds in between, not clinging to the substantiality of individuals such as Stream-enterers is the antidote. The fourth is, because of being completely purified by transcending the limits, therefore not clinging to the fruit of Stream-entry, the sutra says that the fruit of Stream-entry is not to be clung to, similarly, apply this to the grounds up to Buddhahood, not clinging to the basis for being established as an Arya in meditative equipoise is the antidote. The third is, other paths cannot completely pacify these conceptualizations, therefore the two paths of seeing and meditation are the basis for distinguishing the differences in states. Moreover, this difference is stated in the Clear Words: it is only the meditative equipoise of the two paths, not those that focus on the conventional truth, such as the eighth moment of the path of seeing, and although explaining the practice of the uncontaminated path of meditation requires the details of meditative equipoise, it is said in the Path of Knowledge that the pure path of meditation destroys the nine conceptualizations of the three realms, therefore it is unreasonable to consider it only as the practice of the path of meditation. The way to distinguish is, if distinguished by the difference of what is to be abandoned, which are dissimilar, then there are eight types of antidotes. The reason for distinguishing is, in order to pacify the eight conceptualizations of the apprehended and the apprehender, that is, the conceptualization of the apprehended is merely the object of pervasive affliction, that is, not mixed with purity, and the support of the antidote, that is, the two objects, and the conceptualization of the apprehender, that is, the substantial existence of the individual, and the support of the imputed existence of the person, that is, these four objects are abandoned separately in the path of seeing and the path of meditation, that is, four each. How are these eight antidotes taught in the sutra? In the sutra, with the four phrases "From the three realms, with the mode of non-apprehension, Bodhisattvas will definitely emerge and abide in omniscience", relying on the conventional truth, that is, showing that these four exist in relation, therefore it should be understood that the first set of four antidotes is shown. Then, with the four phrases that express the negation of the previous four actions, relying on the ultimate truth, that is, showing that these four do not exist in relation, therefore it should be understood that the latter set of four is shown. This is like arranging according to the Ornament of Clear Realization following the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra, and teaching in this way is also because these two have inferior and superior or coarse and subtle differences.

This is taken into consideration. If it is said that relatives are the nature of the two paths, then there is no point in explaining separately from the assembly gathered there. If it is not shown that relatives are the nature of the two paths, then there may be doubt as to whether they exist outside of those two, and it is said to dispel that doubt. The fourth has three points. First, when accumulating merit, accumulating merit in that order will definitely become the ultimate source, so after that, the proof of the fourth inevitable occurrence is shown. The connection of the sutra is: Regarding the nature of the Mahayana that has been said before and will be explained, why is it called Mahayana? In order to answer the questions in my heart, what is said is the intention of peace. The second is: Know that the nature of these eight aspects is the proof of inevitable occurrence. How are there eight? Because there are eight realms or sources. That is, because it is the main thing, the first thing to explain is that there are three things that need to be done specially. World Honored One, being called Mahayana Mahayana, is produced in order to subdue the worlds of gods, humans, asuras, etc., so it is called Mahayana. Here, just like there is no unreal parikalpita-parikalpita, because it is known that the nature of the three realms that appear upside down there is unreal, so it is subdued, in order to inevitably produce three great places to go. So it is called Mahayana. If equality is not realized, it cannot arise for special things to be done, so equality must arise. The so-called Mahayana is equal to the sky. Here, because the emptiness of equality like the sky, with the stainless wisdom of enlightenment, pervades all that is to be known, so it is said to be Mahayana, showing the source, and also showing the producer. If merit is not accumulated through the means of benefiting sentient beings, equality will definitely not be realized, so it will definitely arise for the benefit to be gained by all sentient beings. For example, the sky opens up space for sentient beings that cannot be measured, are countless, and are immeasurable, similarly, this Mahayana
