Being skilled in both compassion, that is, abandoning the attachment of seeing the Buddha as real. Subduing the mind is, through meditating on all dharmas as being without inherent existence, attaining the pacification of one's mind, that is, abandoning the attachment of seeing the Dharma as real, attachment to the Dharma Jewel. The unobstructed wisdom towards everything is, through the gate of the two truths, generating unobstructed wisdom towards forms and so on, that is, abandoning the attachment of seeing the Sangha as real, attachment to the Sangha Jewel. The non-attachment place is, the wisdom of realizing that no dharma is a place to be attached to, that is, abandoning the attachment of seeing discipline as real, attachment to the vows that turn away from all misconduct. In the "Prajna Lamp," it is explained as abandoning seeing the form body as the Tathagata, the twelve divisions of scripture as the sacred Dharma, the four pairs of persons as the Sangha, and seeing discipline as the antidote to immoral conduct. Going to other realms as one wishes is, for the sake of correctly distinguishing the Dharma, simultaneously going to all Buddha lands as one wishes, that is, abandoning the attachment of arguing about emptiness, and doubting it. Constantly showing one's own nature is, for the sake of liberating sentient beings who have attachments, in order to be in accordance with the minds of the beings to be tamed, fully showing one's own body in all the mandalas of the retinue, this is called abandoning the clinging to things as real in the name of contradicting emptiness, or contradicting the nature of emptiness, and the fault of not being able to control the body. This way of combining abandonment and antidote is according to the explanations of great beings such as the Ornament of Realization and the Prajna Lamp. From most of the difficult-to-understand points of view, the combination of the number of abandonments and antidotes does not match the Ornament of Realization, and there are various inconsistencies in the explanation itself. However, in some cases, it seems that there is no difference between the Ornament of Realization and the way of combining abandonment and antidote, this is not a difference in translation, but rather stems from the difference between whether the translated text has been proofread or not, therefore being consistent with the Ornament of Realization is the intention here. The second is, not only can one attain by abandoning the twenty things to be abandoned, but also by these twenty completely purifying antidotes, and so on. The eighth aspect is divided into two parts. The first part is, sentient beings, etc., two verses, the great Bodhisattva abiding on the eighth ground should perfect these four dharmas, that is, four.

What is it? For example, "following the actions of the minds of all sentient beings," until "attending to the Buddha and examining the Buddha's body as it truly is," and so on. Furthermore, a great Bodhisattva abiding on the eighth ground should perfect four dharmas. What are the four? For example, "knowing superior and non-superior faculties," until "how the roots of virtue of sentient beings are accomplished, in that way the body is completely accomplished, intentionally contemplated, and approaching existence," in between. Here, the two purification sections are separated to show that each one can purify that ground. It is said that the sixth and seventh grounds should also be understood in this way. Second, there are two: the nature of the purifying body, and the way to obtain it after purification. The first is: knowing the minds of all sentient beings, that is, with one thought knowing the actions of the minds of all sentient beings, knowing good and evil as they truly are; compassion with superknowledge, that is, in order to see the world where the Buddha dwells, compassion with the superknowledge of superknowledge, although manifesting superknowledge, not aiming at the Buddha; accomplishing the pure land of the Buddha, that is, abiding on the ground of the wheel-turning king who can freely control three thousand worlds, in order to transform the Buddha land of the support and container into a pure body of lapis lazuli etc. with gold etc., giving away all three thousand worlds, but not being arrogant about it; serving the Buddha in order to fully observe, in short, examining the Buddha's body as it truly is, separately proclaiming service and reverence, the meaning of which is, in order, truly realizing the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, and revering the Dharma in order to benefit sentient beings. Shantideva is also like this, although it is in the root, in the commentary, serving the Buddha and fully observing are combined into one, and counted as one of the eight dharmas. The Great Self also agrees with the sutra text, in order to benefit all sentient beings, revering the Dharma, and truly realizing the Buddha's body, thus separately proclaiming. Learning
