cyan sems While acknowledging that the tenets of the Cittamātra school, the Cittamātrins, and the Madhyamaka school differ, explaining the tenets of the Ornament for Clear Realization as one's own system is like posing a dilemma for oneself. The second part has two points: the classification of lineages and refuting disputes about the classification. The first part has four points: "Combining the root, commentary, and summarizing the meaning." The lineage that serves as the basis for accomplishment after the path of joining is spoken of. Abiding in the lineage that possesses the accomplishment of the basis dharma, the previously mentioned factors conducive to certainty and the path of seeing, and so forth, will also give rise to the path of meditation and the special path, and so forth. If the lineage precedes the generation of bodhicitta, the factors of liberation, and the factors of certainty, then is it necessary to first explain the lineage? That is because explaining the cause first and the result later is the order of meaning. But this is the order of explanation, where the result is explained first, and then it is understood that the cause of this result is like this. The connection to the sutra is: "Bhagavan, what is the meaning of the word 'bodhisattva, bodhisattva'?" Upon being asked this, the Bhagavan said to the venerable Subhuti: "Subhuti, the meaning of the word 'bodhisattva' is that it has no meaning. Why? Because enlightenment is not an object of existence, whether it is born or existing itself or non-existing itself. Subhuti, therefore, the meaning of the word 'bodhisattva' is that it has no meaning." From the chapter on the generation of bodhicitta onwards, the word 'bodhisattva' is repeatedly spoken of in the path of joining and the paths of seeing and meditation. This is the response to the question about the meaning of the word. This sutra shows that the lineage of the nature of the six internal sense bases is the reason for the application of the term 'bodhisattva' because the basis or object to be attained, enlightenment, does not exist as a substance, but the meaning of the word 'bodhisattva' is not something that exists substantially. The second is: The dharma that realizes selflessness, the four factors conducive to certainty, and the two paths of seeing and meditation, the basis of these six is called lineage. Thus, combining them, the rest are also the same. Here, the meaning of basis and dependent is not to be thought of as wood in a trough or crops on the ground. However, the nature of the six sense bases, free from elaboration, that is

The reason for obtaining those thirteen accomplishments through the power of diligence lies in this. Among them, the support for the heat stage is: Subhuti, for example, there are no traces of birds in the sky, and it is invisible. Subhuti, similarly, the meaning of the words of a Bodhisattva is non-existent and invisible. Similarly, dreams, illusions, mirages, echoes, optical illusions, cities of Gandharvas, and the emanations of the Tathagata have no place and are invisible. Similarly, as before. This directly negates the substantial support, thereby indirectly showing the nature of the six sense bases as the support for the heat stage, and through these nine examples, it is explained by symbolizing the nine types of heat stage conceptualizations. Similarly, for the remaining part of the path of joining and the supports for the paths of seeing and meditation, it should also be explained as stated in "Sunlight," combining the respective conceptualizations and metaphorical meanings. The support for the peak stage is: the ultimate reality, suchness, non-erroneous suchness, non-other suchness, the nature of phenomena, the realm of phenomena, the nature of abiding phenomena, the nature of definite phenomena, the nature of true phenomena, with nine examples of having no place and being invisible, symbolizing the pure grasping conceptualizations of the peak stage. The support for the patience stage is: the five aggregates of an illusory person, and the inner and outer sense bases within them, and the realms of eye and form, etc., within them, and the consciousnesses of eye and form, etc., with nine examples of the meaning of words being non-existent and invisible, symbolizing the nine types of substance clinging. The support for the supreme dharma stage is: the emptinesses of an illusory person, etc., and the perfections, concordant strengths, etc., with nine examples of the meaning of words being non-existent for aggregates, realms, sense bases, dependent origination, meditation, formlessness, etc., symbolizing the nine types of imputation clinging. The support for the path of seeing is: the form aggregate of the Tathagata, and from eye to mind, and the emptinesses such as inner emptiness, etc., to the meaning of the words between strengths, etc., and the nature of the unconditioned realm and the realm of the conditioned, respectively, with four examples of the realm of the conditioned and the nature of the unconditioned having no place and being invisible, symbolizing the four types of conceptualizations to be abandoned on the path of seeing. The support for the path of meditation is: unborn, unceasing, not manifest, not arising, invisible, all afflictions.

None. Seven metaphors without meaning and unattainable words of purity, and metaphors without characteristics that are nowhere and unattainable, and nine metaphors of extreme purity that are nowhere and unattainable, symbolize the nine conceptualizations to be abandoned in meditation on the nine grounds. Now, since there are also four types of conceptualizations to be abandoned in meditation, should there be four metaphors? In the stage of the path of seeing, it appears as divided into four points. In this case, if unborn and so on are combined into one, it becomes three metaphors. Therefore, it is made into nine, and the abandonment in meditation is divided into nine through the gate of large and small, but the abandonment in seeing is not divided in this way. Therefore, it is said in the Sunlight Sutra that in the stage of the path of meditation, one should also follow the method with conceptualizations and metaphors. It is said that since nine metaphors appear, the conceptualizations must also be made into nine, and they are also arranged in order on the nine grounds. Therefore, it is clear that the meditation path in this case has reached the tenth ground. Thus, this intention of the noble one is profound and has been abandoned by the commentators, so I will explain it here. The antidote, the uninterrupted path, is: like the light of the sun's disk appearing, nowhere and unattainable. The path of liberation of abandonment is: when the fire of the eon burns, all aspects of actions are nowhere and unattainable. The complete elimination of the conceptualizations of the antidote and the unfavorable side, that is, the abandonment, is: the discipline of the Tathagata, the Arhat, the perfectly complete Buddha, has no place for evil discipline. Similarly, in seeing his samadhi, wisdom, liberation, and the wisdom of liberation, distraction, wrong wisdom, non-liberation, and not seeing the wisdom of liberation are nowhere. Here, the five aggregates of non-outflow show the antidote, and the five to be abandoned show the abandonment of the conceptualizations of the unfavorable side. The previous abandonment shows the connection of habits, and this shows the abandonment of the obscuration of knowledge. Wisdom and compassion are: like the light of the sun and moon, nowhere. This shows that wisdom and compassion burn in order, and with desires, one does not transcend nirvana as long as there is existence, so it shows that one does not abide in both existence and peace. The disciple, the Hearer, and the uncommon path are the Hearer and
