Staying on the ground, the fifth is staying like that, not understanding the faults and merits of the cycle from ignorance to old age and death and the reversal from generating the mind to becoming a Buddha, the sixth is not staying on the noble path from generosity to non-mixture because of not understanding like that, the seventh is deviating from the path like that, clinging to all dharmas in a reversed way, the eighth is said in the Commentary on Valid Cognition: "If there is self, then there is the thought of other, clinging to and hating the parts of self and other, from these two and their connections, all faults arise." Like that, clinging in a reversed way, clinging to the part of self and hating the part of others, saying like that is not the secret meaning of explaining self and sentient beings, etc., because the Ornament for Clear Realization Commentary quotes this teaching and says clinging to self and so on. The ninth is the suffering produced after pure nirvana, that is also the cause of aversion. Etc. includes the contaminated dharmas that produce high places. It is unreasonable to explain this as the path truth that produces the cessation truth, because the object of this distinction is cycle. Like that, the first is ignorance, the third is the view of the perishable collection, the fourth is the extreme view, is the collection of afflictions, the second is the collection of birth, is the nature of the cycle. The rest are the faults and nature of the cycle, each as appropriate. The way of distinguishing the object is also that these are the objects of the cycle, so one should abandon clinging like that. These last three distinctions and the second are taught from the sutra in the way of antidotes. The second is, if the object distinctions of the antidote reversal's basis are classified, there are nine kinds, that is also because of distinguishing the nine objects. What are the nine objects? The first is, the meaning of the aggregates, the reversal is not gathered, that is without skillful means, clinging to form and manifestly clinging, clinging to consciousness and manifestly clinging. Saying like that. Belonging to the reversal is also connected in the following. The second is, the meaning of the door of birth is the sense fields, the third is the meaning of lineage is the elements, the fourth is, the meaning of birth is arising from dependent origination without arising. Here in the sutra, from ignorance to old age and death, clinging and manifestly cl

It is said that the meaning of "is that" is acknowledged as the Great Self has explained in the manner of reversing dependent origination. As it says in the "Sun Essence Sutra": "The aggregates, sources, realms, and dependent origination that belong to the utterly purified, become nine aspects due to their distinctions." The fifth is the meaning of emptiness. As it says in the "Root Verses on the Middle Way": "The emptiness of the Buddhas, is said to necessarily eliminate all views." Thus, merely negating with a view does not serve as an antidote to clinging. Therefore, when one focuses on what, it eradicates the profound emptiness free from elaboration. The meaning of emptiness, why is it called emptiness? Because all afflictions do not arise. Thus it is. The sixth is the meaning of the perfections. Merely the non-existence of things does not accomplish the perfections of the two benefits, therefore it is the perfection. The seventh is the path of seeing of the sixteen moments of knowledge that have the power to connect with what is to be abandoned by the path of seeing. The eighth is the path of meditation, the nature of the formless and the concentrations that transcend the lower realms through the aspects of limbs and objects. The ninth is the no-more-learning, the complete training. These are also the purified things, conditions, causes, dependent origination, objects, practices, and distinctions, namely the first six and the last three in order. The way to cling to them is also, "This is the object to be taken of purification, therefore it should be taken," and cling to it. These nine, except for the fourth in the sutra, are taught in terms of their essence. The second has two parts: elaborately explaining the clinging to substance and the clinging to imputation. The first is: the person, that is, the one who clings, the clinging thought that has a basis in reality, if divided, exists in nine aspects. That is, either through the way of thinking about the object, or through the way of having nine ways of clinging to the object. What are the nine ways of clinging? The first is: the self, that is, the one who clings to the object, clinging to it as independent and not relying on others. The self is not perceived, likewise, sentient beings, life, nourishment, individuals, persons, strength-born, strength-child, actors, feelers, knowers, and seers are not perceived. Why is that? Because it is utterly pure.
