The explanation of refutation is the root commentary, and it is not the intention of anyone. Among them, the root is not, with "the two aspects of grasping" etc., it is said that the clinging to the grasped and the clinging to the grasper are the discriminations of those. It is also not clear in the system of the noble ones, because as far as the words can grasp, "the discrimination that discriminates on the self alone" etc., and "the discrimination that discriminates on the self as the basis of all afflictions" etc., and "the discrimination that exists as the imputed aggregates" etc., "the discrimination that exists as the imputed sources" etc., except for showing as the aspect of establishing, even the corner of the words that show as the aspect of refuting does not appear. In the appearance of the Ornament, it is also said, "The four discriminations are not obstacles to one's own enlightenment, therefore, no matter how mixed with it, it is born as if not mixed, thus it is established," thus the four discriminations even the Hearers and Solitary Realizers have, but because it is not an obstacle to obtaining one's own enlightenment, it is said to be like having it is like not having it, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers do not perceive the refutation discrimination that realizes the grasped and the grasper, how can it be established as the intention of the teacher? Therefore, what becomes the Dharma of making discriminations is also not the aspect of refutation, but it is the intention of the teacher that it is the Dharma of making by way of having what is to be abandoned of its own fruit, saying that it possesses the four discriminations that can be exhausted by the path of seeing and the path of meditation that it produces itself, because from the previously quoted scripture and here it is also said that the four discriminations of the grasped and the grasper that are to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation. If it is said from the Sunlight Treatise, "Among them, the first and second that are in accordance with the aspect of determining become the two discriminations of the grasped in order, and the third and fourth are also the two discriminations of the grasper," therefore it is refutation discrimination, because in terms of the nature of the real clinging, the path of application does not possess, if it is said so. Then, if it is thought that the four heats etc. are meant to possess the four discriminations, and it is desired to understand it literally, then from the Sunlight Treatise it is said, "Whatever is the first grasped discrimination is also said to be the second," therefore it must be admitted that whatever is the heat position is also the peak position. The Moon Light Teacher also said that the Hearers and Solitary Realizers also have the four discriminations, although there are four discriminations, but the Hearers

Etc., are not contradictory aspects of enlightenment, so no distinction was made. So it is said. The second is: the apprehended and the apprehender. So, what are the apprehended and apprehender in this case? In general, Buddhists have three ways of establishing the apprehended and apprehender: the producer, consciousness, and object; and based on the self and what belongs to the self. According to the first, the six objects are the apprehended, and the six faculties are the apprehender. According to the second, all matter is the apprehended, and all consciousness is the apprehender. According to the third, the self (Atman, Ātman, Ātman, 我) is the apprehender, and what belongs to the self (Atmiya, Ātmīya, Ātmīya, 我所) is the apprehended. Among these, this is based on the latter, the apprehended is what is used by the nominally existent self, that is, what is to be eaten. The apprehender is what uses it, that is, the eater. This is what the great master said, and the former scholars also considered it reasonable, so it is reasonable. Among these, the object of the apprehended concept in the "Sunlight" says: relying on the thing itself and relying on the aspect of the antidote. Saying "itself" is to eliminate the meaning of difference, that is, the first object is the general totality that has not separated all defilements, and the second object is the distinction made in purification. Although this is done, the first includes the second, and the second does not include the first. But in the "Ornament of Realization," it says: Some say that relying on the basis of all afflictions is the first, and relying on the basis of purification is the second, because these two are mutually exclusive in nature, so these two are completely different. Thus, the former negates the distinction of the apprehended concept from the aspect of the object, and establishes its own tenet, which is reasonable. With the basis and its antidote. Because the basis points to the aspect to be abandoned, if according to the former, then each of the ignorance concepts etc. would be directed at all defilements, which would be too much. Thus, all defilements or purification can be divided into two purifications of the Great and Small Vehicles. The object of the apprehender concept in the "Commentary" says, taking ordinary people as the object, holding that the person exists substantially, and taking noble beings as the object, holding that it exists nominally on it, thus combining the apprehended and the apprehender to explain, does not mean that ordinary people hold to substantial existence and noble beings hold to nominal existence. Therefore, in the root text and commentary, sentient beings are substantially existent.
